I don't get crushes easily. I can honestly say that in high school, I had perhaps two crushes. Nothing major. One guy wanted to use me and made it obvious on our senior trip. The other guy was much older and though we were friends, he had a girlfriend. Thusly, I got over those crushes really fast. In college, one -- my professor wanted to set me up with another student but, he had a girlfriend and they were having "issues." No dice. It's a rarity that I ever find anyone like minded, intelligent, witty and of course, nice looking that I could even have a crush on -- or date for that matter. Thusly, my ever-present single status. I think I need to move

Really, you don't meet eligible guys at work?
No grandsons?

Please. I work at a salon. I get hit on by the 45 year old clientele and every man that I work with is gay. And do you honestly think I'd want to date anyones grandson who treats me like crud on a regular basis? I don't think so. They're more worried about their hair and nails than they are hooking up eligible grandsons.

Perfect timing for this thread!

I talked about my crush a few weeks ago on here. Well, last night I got his number and screen name. AHHH@#%#$%^&$ I'm so excited.

But here's the bad news. He told me he might be moving to Boston in a month. Dammit.

Please, I was joking.
But tell them ou're Jewish and the hooking up the grandsons will trump the hair.

Oh right, so then the death of the matriarch of the family (when she finds out i'm not really Jewish) will be blamed on me

Preach it. I seriously think there is something genetically wrong with the men of Rochester

Is he into you too? Lame that he might be moving! I'm not sure how much dating you do, but for me to find some one i'm interested in (a la GardenStateGirlie) is like a miracle. And then if I found out he was moving, I'd probably barf. Actually... there is a guy who works at a bank downtown I've had my eye on for a long time. One of these days we're supposed to have drinks with a mutual friend, but he's moving to Paris in September. Time's a wastin'! I better get things moving so I can at least get some for a couple months before he leaves!

Best not to pretend you're Jewish. The jewish people are MASSIVE grudge holders! And they'd probably shame you too! I worked for a Jewish newspaper and quit 'cause I had a better offer and GET THIS! They bought me a cake and had a little party for me which was super cute, but they also gave me a card. The two owners of the paper wrote in the card "I forgive you," as opposed to "good luck on your new venture" or something like that. CAN YOU IMAGINE???!!! Hilarious!
