I love Family Guy. One of the few shows that makes me laugh out loud really hard anymore.

Another tidbit - Mila Kunis (Jackie from That 70's Show) is Meg, the daughter.

L-Word is billed as a lesbian Sex and the City - but it's not. It's quite different if you ask me.

I like both - the L Word, as Mari pointed out, is more soap-opera-esque. And the L-Word is great because the "L-word" isn't neccessarily "lesbian" The old intro (Season one) had all these "L-words": laugh, love, longing, liberal etc...
I do remember watching Mary go blind. I loved her in that horrible TV movie Midnight Offerings where she's the evil witch harassing the Waltons daughter.

Never saw that. When you say three, I'm guessing Estelle Getty wasn't one of them?

Never heard of Profit & Action. Description?

I watched the first couple of episodes of Arrested Development.

I'm not sure what made me think of it, but I'm surprised that nobody here listed (unless I missed it) Absolutely Fabulous. I still have never caught it, but I remember there was some serious fanaticism on this board.

There were some portions of the series that were unnecessarily violent that were sort of a turn off but other than that, the relationships between everyone and Tony's own inner issues were what kept me tuning in. There are a lot of NJ Italians offended by the show (so much so that they wanted it taken off of the air). I don't find it offensive in that way -- it's not portraying the normal Italian family (if there are any normal Italian families ) -- it's a bunch of mobsters.

I did read that. BTW, is it pronounced Mee-lah, Mill-uh, Mye-la, or something else?

Reminding me, ever see the Everybody Loves Raymond where Marie doesn't realize she sculpted a vagina?

I guess I failed to mention it because it really didn't catch on here until a few years after it initially aired in the UK (and was only showed on Comedy Central until we got BBC America). It certainly does push the envelope and is a riot. You should rent the first season -- you'd probably enjoy it.

Good Times. I remember Esther Rolle used to fight with the producers & network because she thought they were glamourizing her role/ghetto life. Great theme song. (I mean Dy-No-Mite theme song )

Haven't seen Soap, but I know it has quite a following & Billy Crystal was on it. Katharine Helmond always looks the same.

What are SFU, SITC, QAF?
