Everything else from Street Angel is better, though.

All of mine have very similar arrangements/sounds to the release, just different vocals.

Maybe.
And the other thing is, in those days I was so grateful for any new music that trickled out.

Thank You

demos don't count.. if they did, you would have a choice of over 100 songs to vote off...

a) i vote off God's Garden because it's way to slow and i cried when i heard it (and not in that good, poignant way)

b) Reconsider Me was played on muzak back in the day, i used to work at Fashion Bug and always took a smoke break when it or IYEDB came on... therefore i think it should be included

c) brian, me and you are about to tangle homeboy. out of all the songs on that list you just had to vote Inspiration first... i thought we had something, i thought we shared something. first Everyday in the TISL thread, and now Inspiration? i'm so very sad...

I just listened to a few of 'em, and yeah, the music is similar. A bit more sparse, and toned down, but the same arrangement. The vocals are great too, with all the alternate and additional lyrics. I love the differing ending lyrics, especially "This will leave you haunted in your mirror!"

Default Round 1 Crystal

I absolutely love this song when Lindsey sings it but I can't stand Stevie's version.

Default Round 1 - Touched by an Angel

The show made me cringe, and so does the song.

At Last is so great. I wish she would do more songs like this, her voice is so strong now and perfect for standards.

I thought it might be fun to do one with all of Stevie's Non-LP songs, including her B-sides, soundtracks, and imports.... so here they are in no particular order:

Reconsider Me
Garbo
Touched By An Angel
Free Fallin
Inspiration
Somebody Stand By Me
One More Big Time Rock And Roll Star
Mirror Mirror
Real Tears
Thousand Days
Crystal (Practical Magic Soundtrack)
Violet And Blue
God's Garden
Blue Lamp
If You Ever Did Believe
Sleeping Angel
Twisted
Battle Of The Dragon

The cut off time for Round 1 will be on Monday, 11:59pm EST

let the voting begin....

Wow - there are going to be some close calls for me. I tihnk the first one I'd vote off would have to be.... Real Tears. Blerg.

I don't think I have that. Like I said, mine are almost identical musically & lyrically, with different vocals.

I regret the song title because of the show, but I love the song.

It was nice as a rarity, but I like Stevie doing her own songs. Didn't care for her version of that Sunday song.
