Whoa, lots of posts to respond to! I went to a school that included actual driving in driver's ed. I started out awful and then improved and wound up being decent enough. But, the thing is, we just got a certificate saying we passed driving school at the end. All that meant was that I could get my learner's permit, which I did immediately. But then the actual driving test didn't work out too well.

making new friends is hard, I think. For me. I have friends that make new friends constantly, though. I guess they're just different, ie, people automatically like them, but not me.

I can count my real friends (real meaning people I can confide in that are not from the internet) on one hand and if I accidentally cut off a few fingers, I could still count them on one hand. It's pretty damn lonely being me.

Same here. But I think that's kind of how it should be. I think that there are only so many people that we can trust with just about anything. People like that are rare. I don't think you should feel bad about it at all.

As for the issue of being single...

Sometimes I'm happy about it. Sometimes its depressing. I've never been in a real relationship (and am still a virgin ). (I know you and I have had this conv. before, Amber, but I'm gonna vent anyway) All I seem to attract are really nasty perverted men (like the one who wanted to breastfeed me) and butch lesbians (sorry, but if I'm gonna go for a lady she'd better look like a lady). All I ever fall for are men that are either married or otherwise taken, and women that are as straight as a ruler. That's depressing. Really, really depressing.

On the other hand, I don't have to report to anyone. I don't have anyone trying to dictate who I can see and where I can go and I don't have the worry of wondering who anyone is with and what anyone is doing. Plus I'm the kind of person who likes to have a lot of alone time.

It's hard to have advice. I mainly get bf's by going out. And people like my friends because they are really nice to everyone, and because they are hot. I also got more higher quality bf's the more hot I was. Basically, I don't know anything, except, go out, meet people, and maybe a bf/gf will show up???
P.S. - I think I'm about 7-8 years older than you, the rules could easily have changed.

I'm twenty-four. Edit: Just checked the prof. You're right. You are seven years older... guess you just give the impression of being younger than you are.

I wasn't really asking for advice. Just doing a little wallowing of the self-pity variety. Not very productive, I know, but I'm shy, insecure, don't drive, don't drink, don't dance, and don't like crowds. So convincing myself to go out is a losing battle.

That sounds nice, but my two best friends have millions of friends. I mean, they like me extra special, but still, they are able to maintain billions of friends, and all those people like them. I've always had only 1 or 2 best friends.
