I LOVE Faye - bless her heart

Awww, I love him. I think he's one of the best actors out there. Kevin Spacey and Jim Carrey are the ones I really dislike greatly.

Yeah, Jason, try Alias. Watch the first couple discs of Season 1 and see if you can turn back.

Hee. Quentin on Alias. "I backwashed. A lot." And how excited was I a couple of weeks ago to see Amy back, albeit briefly? Between her and Lena... ugghghghhh.

And Diss, asking Merf if she's been watching Alias lately is like asking if she's been breathing.

I've liked the Golden Girls for as long as I can remember. I used to watch it with my Grandmother when I was a kid (geeky, I know) and all the sexual inuendo jokes completely went over my head.

I am a DVD addict, especially TV-on-DVD. In fact the only other forum I belond to is DVD talk.

In the last two weeks I picked up:
Joan of Arcadia Season 1
Scrubs Season 1
Six Feet Under Season 3
Batman: The Animated Series volume 3
NEWSRADIO!! Seasons 1 & 2
United Stated of Leland
Salem's Lot TV series (I'm a sucker for steven king, even bad steven king)

Responding to other things in this thread: Alias is a great, great show!

Anyone interested in picking up Punky Brewster should check their local targets, for quite some time the season 1 dvd set was only 9.99!

I LOVE the ep. in the first season the wedding one - when Dorothy squeezes Blanche's hand and Blanche falls to floor in pain - that one gets me every time..

I STILL Laugh out loud to that show - no matter how many times I've seen certain episodes..

Favorite eps?? What are yours?

My all-time favorite Golden Girl episode is the one with the murder mystery weekend

-Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
-ACDC's Family Jewels (for my hubbie, what a Father's Day gift )

And, just bought Pocahontas at the Magic Kingdom while in Disney World last week. Does that make it even more magical? Sessly, my daughter and I are working on collecting all of the Disney stuff. Ya know..."better buy it NOW because it won't be available forever and ever and ever again.....

I tried so hard to like it because I think the book is a masterpiece and one of the few King books I like, but man, it was baaaaaaaaaaaad. Even worse than the original miniseries from '79 with James Mason and Bonnie Bedelia. I'll give the new one props for Samantha Mathis, though, she's beautiful in it.

Yeah, I really wanted to like to having read the book shortly before it began. It had an amazing cast all around with King favorite Rob Lowe, James Cromwell, Donald Sutherland, Rutger. I just couldn't see how it would fail, but I guess that's what happens when Mick Garris doesn't direct the Tv-miniseries. While the Shining and the Stand series weren't great, they certainly were entertaining.

DeMornay was good in The Shining, but Steven Weber was painful. I quite like The Stand (what a cast!) up until the last hour with the hand of God bull**** and Jamey Sheridan emoting like a rabid dog. Nothankyou. For some reason, miniseries' aren't very good nowadays. They used to be events that everyone would watch and talk about (like It), but now they're just...blah. I do hear that the miniseries for King's Desperation is supposed to be fantastic. It was to air this month, but ABC yanked it until next May.

I hadn't heard about Desperation for a while, assumed it was just permanently shelved. Oh well, next may is still better than never but somehow I doubt it'll see the light of day. Weber wasn't even close to the worst thing about the Shining, it was a small child names Courtland Mead. I did, however, love the general plotting and the sets were so good for that one. I always hated Kubrick's motel 6 version of the Overlook so this finally fixed that problem.

I just watched that ep on Lifetime a couple of week ago or something. I love that show.

I'm waiting for them to put out season 2 of Twin Peaks. I heard from TVShowsonDVD.com that it will now be out next year because they are sprucing it up, so Boo/Yay. LOL I am also waiting for frickin' Wings to come out on DVD...stupid beyotches won't do it. It's #7 or something on TVShowsonDVD.

Haven't been buying much of anything lately, except music on iTunes or Walmart.com. Well, I did buy a movie DVD filmed at Scarborough Faire. We went back in April, it was way cool. I do want all The Office DVD's.
