I am, by the book, obese. I don't feel like I look real fat, but I'm a big girl, and I can stand to loose some, oh... 50 pounds or so. I've never been one to watch what I eat, and now it's coming back to haunt me. I'm turning out more and more like my dad, and that's not a good thing. Sooooo, I started taking a multi-vitamin, and I have cut my soda intake to one a day; first thing in the morning (it's like my coffee), and I have this monster 64 oz mug that I drink on at work all day full of water. I eat a small bowl of cereal for breakfast, a banana as a snack, a salad for lunch, and then dinner. I'm learning myself some portion control at dinner. I bought a Gazelle, which is excellent, might I add, and I usually try to do it first thing in the morning for 15 minutes, Monday through Friday. I don't want to over do it, so I don't get burnt out and quit completely. So far, I've only lost about 10 lbs, but I can tell a difference in my waistline! I can also tell a difference in my metabolism.

congrats! that is wonderful! Try to add more good fats to your diet. Have some salmon with your salad! eat some olives or nuts as a snack! (It's important to vary your diet) Take calcium!
Way to go!

Also, Amber, I've discovered this shaper that takes care of the tummy and rear and it's awesome. I got it at the drug store in the panty hose section. Not that comfy but waaay better than panty hose because the legs don't go down to your feet, I hate that. It's pretty doable. I wore it out last night to keep things from marching to their own beat, so to speak. This could be a solution for that dress with which you aren't fully happy with the fit.
dont those sound HOT?

As if I didn't know which one you would've picked.
I did it, only for 45 minutes instead of 40, this time. I even sacrificed watching America's next top model to do it! okay, I forgot it was on till I was already started, and I still saw the elimination, and it's repeated on Fri, but still!

I know, I appreciate the suggestion, but I usually don't even want to wear as many clothes as I have to wear, let alone more constricting extra ones!
Thanks Suze, honestly.

yeah, totally! but I don't get VH1, which sucks way worse. Oh, and the girl that won last season's America's top model is guest starring on Kevin Hill (with Daye Diggs) and it looks like she's actually a pretty good actress! I don't usually watch KH, but I will now.
Edit - she's really good, and so, so pretty. One of the prettiest girls I've ever, ever, seen. *nonsexual girlcrush*

I threw it out. It's not as bad as it sounds. It's sheer. And um, I meant to say, my friend wears these!

i own up to it, i used to wear a second skin (think control-top hose minus feet) during the winter. and i liked it. i kept warm and looked a little more streamlined. it wasn't constricting and my pants fit a bit better. now that i live in florida, i can't be naked enough - i don't care about being streamlined when it's already 74 degrees at nine in the morning.

Hang in there everyone! I weighed myself today....195!! Considering I was at 255 back in November, I have lost quite a deal of weight....I hope to lose these last 15 pounds while I can. My best advice is to exercise, exercise, exercise....You will not see results immediately, but trust me, they will come!

ONLY about ten pounds!?! ONLY !?! That's EXCELLENT.....doens't warrant an only...that makes it sould like it's not an accomplishment - but it is

Good thing to start out slowly too - in no time you'll find that 15 minutes flies by and it's like nothing and you'll be able to increase a little....

Way to go - sounds like you're on the right track
