Arrow Mfm..

Those are great pics! Most of the snow we got a few days ago was long gone on Christmas, but we drove north about an hour and a half to my grandmother's house and there was a little more snow on the ground. My dad and I had a snowball fight.

Talking I love snowball fights...

especially a memory of myself against 3 of my former Tech school members, 2 from Houston & 1 from Oakland and how it looked like a "turkey shoot" cause those Texans/Californian did not realize ya have to pack snow to make a snowball...Man, I slaughtered all 3 of 'em in the parking lot, Their snowballs were like limp wiffle balls and my snowballs were Roger Clemens/Randy Johnson fastballs, I annihilated 'em in a non-mercy killin' snowball spree from hell.

They learned their lesson afterwards about packing to snow to make firm snowballs

SLEDDING!!!

FYI -- I'm about 2 miles north of Galveston, 30 miles south of Houston, right on the Texas coast. In the pics I've attached, you can see that this really is the tropics. Nothing like tropical foliage covered in pure white icy goodness!

OK -- now I'm off to change into some dry socks, and I'm heading back outside!!!

I am so glad you got your snow.

We didn't get snow here in SC--we got an ice storm. And I lost power for almost four hours. Thank God I've got a fireplace but still. . . it does not throw out a whole lot of heat but it's better than nothing, I suppose.

That makes 2 of us!

Now... mine can melt! I'm tired of having a dirty garage from "snow droppings" off of my truck. I have no room to complain, though, in comparison to Homer down south of me.

However, i must say, once when we got snow i nailed a guy in the head from 40 feet who was bending over. sweet, sweet shot. And? that snowball was packed tight! Like a rock, it was....

Yeah....about that.

I flew into Buffalo last night at oh - around 10:45....about an hour and a half later I was on the road back to Rochester....the baggage claim took a while - but what really screwed me...? The snow.

Luckily I bought a snow brush two weeks ago - so I spent a really long time brushing off my damn car....then using the scraper feature - then trying to use it as a makeshift shovel to get my car out of the parkign spot....I'd left my car in Long term parking at the airport...

The drive home? Oh. My. God. It sucked....there were all sorts of cars in weird positions on the side of the road...luckily I made it home in one piece and with no accidents or loss of control of my car.....

and it's only the beginning....*sigh*

On a side note - it did snow in New Mexico the day before Christmas Eve...haha..just what I wanted back home...

I'm so glad you made it through the drive safely! We got slammed in Boston too, I was indoors during most of it snuggled up with my kitty. But there's like 10 inches out there and that makes the city one heck of a mess! It is pretty, but I forgot my camera.

The wind was crazy and making the windows rattle. We get this fierce wind over the water and it was so strong last nite, my cat was like, what the? It was nice to be home though all snuggled up, I was grateful for that.

Pattie, I hope your commute wasn't too bad this morning! I walked in and most of the sidewalks were cleaned off but some weren't so it was a bit treacherous. But nothing like driving, I used to have a 35 mile commute which I do not miss! I feel for those of you who commute.

Yeah, sometimes even though the weather has cleared, the roads still suck. Cheer up Deana - it's supposed to be warm enough to rain by New Year's!

Oh goody! haha - I hear that rain mixed with all this snow is just an extra special treat to all I am enjoying my first winter so far though - I won't be driving between here and Buffalo much - so driving isn't too big a deal most of the time (I live really near work)....it's the shoveling and brushing off of the car that I'm not so pro on...

IMO, Kokomo and Marion always get the bad stuff. Tornados, huge storms, you name it.

Whenever my part (Marion *county*) gets warnings for stuff, we never get em unless it's just a storm or snow.

I hate this state. -_-

Me, too. I used to love it, but it's really become a pain in the ass! Get it outta here!
