Exactly!

On Thanksgiving, my family always watches "Home Fro the Holidays" with Holly Hunter and after it was over last week, I just thought to myself that such crazy families like the one in that movie are normal. I know I've got insane aunts, my uncle is the biggest asshole known to mankind, my mother is loopier than a box of Fruit Loops, my cousins are snobs, my sister is just...stupid; whose family isn't like that?

Just put that movie on my Christmas wish list, I love it. My mother is loopier than a latchhook kit!

Yeah - my family is something else as well...I've got the weird ass uncle/aunt - once when my grandma was visiting my cousin came out and said, "Are you not going to have naked family night since grandma and grandpa are here?" wtf!?!

My immidiate family group is actually the most normal in our whole family...haha..not that that's saying much - but my sister and I are the only cousins with college degrees and steady jobs

Aunt Gladys is my favorite. When she farts in the car? I lose all control. When she flashes them as she get sout fo the car? I explode. When she munches on her Fruit Loop neclaces? I wet myself. When she sings at the dinner table? I pass out. When she tries to pass off those damned lamps to everyone she comes into contact with? Oy vey!

That movie is the best, right alongside A Christmas Story.

LOL! Oh A Christmas Story is so funny, I gotta put that one on too. My roommate is getting her brother-in-law one of those leg lamps for Christmas.

I want one of those, just to put in my window at Christmastime.

And watch all your neighbors gather round to gawk at it!! I love when Ralphie touches it while looking up at it in awe and his mom smacks his hand away. It's too much!

It's hysterical every time and NEVER gets old. I always have the 24 hour marathon on all day during Christmas.

My favorite part, though, hands down, is the part when the lamp first comes.

"Fra-gee-lee! It must be Italian!"
"No, honey, I think that says fragile."

LOL! That reminds me that when he moved my Dad wrote fragle on all the boxes with fragile stuff in it, I pronounced it for him and we got a chuckle out of it. Poor Dad can't spell worth a darn.

Funny that this movie never gets old. This one I actually saw in the theater when it first came out. My mom took my young cousin (about 5) with us and was horrified when Santa kicked the kids down the slide!

It never gets old, I've no idea why. Everytime I sit down and see it, it's just as enchanting as the first time. My other favorite part is where he gets the bar of soap in his mouth. I've been there, many times.

Diss, your mouth got you in trouble with your parents and kept you out of jury duty? Hmmm... is this a pattern?

Seriously, I could describe the taste of every soap. The worst was when I'd get liquid soap.

That's weird you like this movie over and over and over and over and over, but apparently Stevie is making you sick with her "same old thing". Interesting.
