That felt like a slap in the face to those of us who stood by her during the Klonopin years (not that we knew about the Klonopin itself) and were hoping for better music & performances in the future.

Hey there, Jake.

1991 was right in the middle of the Klonopin Years -- by all accounts, she was miserable, un-inspired & lethargic. I'm sure she was looking at the near future and thinking she wouldn't be able to physically manage for much longer.

So I don't think comments made at the lowest point in her life, with her judgment severely impaired by a tranquilizer addiction, necessarily negate the statements she made when she was clear-headed, that she'd be touring & recording into her 60s.

Even Jane Fonda changed her toon about plastic surgery because she said her face did not represent what she fealt like inside. I think Stevie comes off as tired. Still, she looks beautiful, not plastic pulled so
YES, Stevie has always had a beautiful smile It will be interesting to see if Stevie succumbs to to a full face-lift, I don't think she will, simply due to the fact, when she gets around to the next FM thing (tour and/or album) I think she will not want to look 10 to 15 years younger standing next to the rest of the band. But you never know. And your probably right if she wants a decade longer career, considering the whole agism bigotry in our country, she will need to step up her enhancements and there is also the whole other issue of how much longer can her voice hold on.
I personally think Stevie looks fine, but I'm also aware that the general media viewing public is quick to dismiss her as looking old/tired and therefore irrelevant. It sucks, but it is reality.

You know that totally happened! And Sheryl came through in the end. Stevie probably stipulated doing O only if Sheryl was going to join her on the performance. Stevie undoubtably learned her lesson with the Taylor Swift disaster, not wanting a repeat of singing with someone she's not too familiar or comfortable with.Totally. And while Miley may be a Joan Jett fan, I wasn't buying into it too much either. Miley has sung Stevie & FM praises many times, and has lately been seen sporting Stevie style clothes in TV performances & wearing the classic "Don't Blame It On Me" T-shirt. But the dead giveaway is Mileys current tour and album titles: The Gypsy Heart Tour & "Can't Be Tamed" album title as in B&TB's "My love is a man who's not been tamed". Miley has been listening to, and influenced lately by somebody else's Wild Heart.

Well, Miley did perform a very similar medley of Joan's songs on her own tour about a year ago... so I'm sure she is a fan and isn't just phoning it completely...

However, I tend to agree with the sentiment that she was booted off of Landslide for Sheryl. Especially since Miley said she'd be covering Landslide on her upcoming The Gypsy Heart Tour. Of all the rockers there, Sheryl really seemed the most out of place to me because she is awkwardly in between the two generations they were showcasing. I thought it was kind of obvious she was there because she was Stevie's friend lol..

She looked so surprised, and had a child like innocence in her eyes saying: "I did not... Sheryl Crow!". God I love this woman
ya, she was adorable, how she reacted.

It struck me as weird too. Sheryl has been around almost 20 years herself. She's only 3 years younger than Joan Jett.

Her new tour is nicely named "The Gypsy Heart".

i haven't heard anything of her tour, but when she sang with joan jett i thought she did that kind of harder rock well. i wouldn't mind seeing her go a little towards that style. the "bad reputation" lyrics made my tween daughter look at me with big, surprised eyes, like, uh-oh, is mum gonna not let me listen to miley anymore for being too sassy, lol. my daughter's not a big fan of hers, but she likes a few songs. she's more into miranda cosgrove.

what i thought was adorablly funny and cute is a little special-needs kiddo i care for was over and he was glued to the tv when stevie was on. and after she was done he kept asking for more of her. so, stevie has a new young fan! he kept saying "the other one, the other one" while joan, pat, and everyone was on.

Agreed! Michele, thank you for posting so many wonderful vids. I really appreciate it. I cannot tell you how many vids I've watched on your channel. Really appreciate it!

The Oprah clip will probably be taken down soon, so watch it while you can everyone!

Hi, Johnny.
I never said those comments negate her earlier ones, just that they show she was not consistent in her thinking. If she wants to blame the drugs for changing her thinking in the Klonopin days, that's perfectly fine, but she shouldn't pretend that the thinking (as reflected in interviews) didn't change, is all I'm saying.
