ohio's technically not a red state, but it's definitely not 100% blue. i live in a liberal county ... but i run into people every day who are homophobic/misogynistic bastards. essentially, the closer you are to a big city, the better off you are. southern ohio is the worst ... i would never, ever, ever live there.

I saw Fleetwood there for the very first show of the SYW tour. It seemed like a nice little college town, very green, very middle class America. And then I went to this cool shopping development called Easton? I think. Instead of being inside like a mall the stores were in a main street fashion. The weather was warm, the men were very attentive, fell all over themselves to help me and upgraded me to a suite when I was checking in. They even let me use their business center after the show so I could come online and see what everyone else was saying about the show. I don't know that I could live there but it was lovely and I'd certainly go back and see FM there again.

if you do, let me know!

we have a ton of those outdoor malls now. they're incredibly popular, and really revitalize an area when they open up.

i'm now re-reading another all time fave: feed my dear dogs, by emma richler.

It was brilliant - it's rare that a book can make my literally cry - and this one did. I mean how can you not at some points? I am very glad that it had a somewhat redeeming ending....at least not one that did not leave me in the pit of depression

I will read it again at some point - more slowly - it was a real page-turner, I couldn't put it down!

Still reading Roots....but I just had to share...I also watched the Star Wars trilogy this weekend and last night had a dream that Darth Vadar invaded Kunta Kinte's village...

The image of Darth striding around little huts has been making me chuckle all day.

That's all.
