I never use the mean to animals argument, however, while I don't disagree with people killing animals for food, I do disagree with the way the animals are kept until death in the poultry and beef industries. I think it's cruel. It's not the same as, oh, say, when your grandpa goes out and shoots a deer, then everyone eats the meat all winter. The animals in the industry are kept in abhorrent, painful, and disgusting conditions, shot full of god knows what, and then killed.
To me those are very good reasons.
Yes they are!

Ideally, the vaccinations would be a beneficial thing to little Johnny. If the slaughtering of the animals is going to make them healthier in the long run, then yes, let's whip out the buzzsaw. But you seem plenty knowledgeable so please, rebut.
Well no, it was an intentionally horrible analogy.

You know, whenever I watch a nature documentary, I'm always amazed at how the lions and tigers worry that they're causing a zebra pain. Man, a thumb and the capacity for higher thought, and we certainly forget that we too are animals. Elitist bastards.

And why is it that vegans always look sickly to me?

So, basically, it's not the food's fault they look that way.
Holy crap, THAT made sense. I can't believe this thread is still going, and showing no signs of ending.

makes no difference to me what a man or woman eats to live, but to kill animals for no reason, or to treat them inhumane... i have a problem with that
