Just got home from the Petty show.

Alas, no, Miss Nicks was nowhere to be seen. Tom and the boys were amazing though, I would have totally forgotten that Stevie was the main reason I bought pit tickets, that is, if there wasn't a Stevie look-alike right in front of me. A little distracting, good though.

I feel sorry for the lawn folks -- it poured for the last part of the show. I'm totally beat now, right before the Tom Petty show I saw The Weakerthans and Metric perform at U of T, went straight to the amphitheatre after that, got there just in time. Now I'm off to bed!

^ Life is so good sometimes.

Love your kitty of the corn pic, by the way. Don't know if you've had it for a while, but I just noticed it.

Yay! I risked it and bought the special ticket package for atlanta. I am so excited! Anyone else going to Atl?

now THAT sounds like an amazing show! how the heck did i miss that??? i love the weakerthans and metric! was this a show for the public, or was it part of u of t's back to school week? must have been awesome. did weakerthans do "benediction?" did emily haines sing sara harmer's part?

SapphireSister · #**446** 09-09-2006, 02:28 PM

HOLLYWOOD IN THE HIZZY!!

I knew my girl wouldn't let me down

Congrats to everyone else too whose show she's going to be at. I woke up this morning with Nightbird in my head, must have been a sign. I can't believe I'm going to be standing in front of Stevie 2 weeks from Tuesday, like OMG

Who else is going to The Bowl show?

jkmaletic · #**447** 09-09-2006, 10:30 PM

YEAH!!!

She's coming to San Diego!!!!

jkmaletic · #**448** 09-09-2006, 10:57 PM

Now that we have some confirmed future dates, has anyone had any luck pulling up any great seats? I've been trying ticketmaster off and on for the past month or so, and never got anything in the orchestra for my show (Chula Vista, 9-27). I plan to keep trying more often now and if I can't get anything good to come up on TM I guess I'll have to go to a $%&*#@* broker.

They are now selling "standing room only" tickets for the Berkeley shows. I wonder where they will stand?

Yeah the show was awesome... It was part of U of T's orientation program, so the show wasn't promoted at all, just meant to be for their students. I actually go to York -- close enough I think

--- I managed to blend it the crowd on the back lawn.. hehe...

The Weakerthans opened with Benediction, but they had some guy -- I'm guessing from one of the earlier bands --- sing Harmer's part. I hadn't even though about Emily doing it -- that would have been great!
