Chili, I thought the same thing. I even went to read Shuffle Riff's lyrics to find a connection. I suppose that could be it if Lindsey changed some of the lyrics.

Default I totally agree

I too will be gutted if 'Down on rodeo' doesn't make it (i agree with the above comment about it being tailor made for Stevie & Lindsey to sing together (say like on 'I don't want to know')
I would be very surprised if Bleed to love her or Steal your heart away were on there - as they are old songs now, and most of us have them anyway!
I'm warming to the title 'Say you will', but think 'Peacekeeper' or 'Illume' would have been better.
What about Deep Dense and Space Needle??

HHmmm...why BTLH? That song is 6 years old and already used by the band.

VERY GLAD to see "Red Rover" ... but disapointed that thee is no "Down On Rodeo."

Damn, Carne, you ROCK! Hop on the bandwagon, sweetheart!! LOL!

Ack!
My first glance at that song listing, left me a bit underwhelmed.
I'm sure that's just a symptom of the mood I'm in though, and that my enthusiasm will kick in again.

If "Goodbye Baby" really is the demo we know as "The Tower," I'd have rather they done Stevie's "If You Were My Love" instead, as I think it's a stronger song.
Though I know that a good many people absolutely adore "The Tower."
At any rate, I'm just going by my feelings toward the demo... the finished product might blow me away.

I also join in the chorus of those disappointed by the omission of "Down On Rodeo," "Deep Dense," and my favorite of all of the 'Gift Of Screws' tracks... "Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind."

But hey, it's my fault that I know so many of these songs in the first place.
If I'd never downloaded any of these demos and outtakes, I wouldn't have a reason to second-guess the tracklisting... I'd just be excited, plain and simple.

And, once again, I agree with chiliD (we're starting a frightening trend here, chili! ), that we may still get to hear some of these as bonus tracks on import singles, or on some kind of Best Buy or Target exclusive, or maybe even on the Japanese edition of the album.

No Johnny, that was no fault! Knowing about LB`s releasing "problems" or whatever you may call it, you/one is forced to do so. Imagine not to have downloaded the GOS stuff. What about the rest of the 16-18 (BTLH and MLDemon don`t count for me as they were on the Dance) songs who don't make it on the new Mac album? They will never be officially released as I bet and they would have been lost to you/us. I`m very happy to have downloaded GOS a few days before Audiogalaxy was shut down! Now that I know that "Say you will" comes soon I manage not to download and listen to the material that I will listen to anyway in a couple of weeks. No loss this way.

By the way another comment. I doubt that on f.E. Murrow additional Stevie vocals will be heard. This song will stay as we know it. It's done and she wouldn`t fit on this one in terms of style and sound.

Am I the only one that dislikes Miranda? There is hardly a LB song I don't like but this one is really the only song that I almost hate. It`s such a shallow untypical sound and I threw it out of my GOS CD at once! So that`s bad luck for me...

And a last question- there seem to be a lot of SN songs which have been leaked before... Where does it all come from? Is there hardly anything totally new for you investigative all finders

Angry Bleed and no Deep Dense!

Bleed to Love Her instead of Deep Dense?! Come ON!!! Been there, done that! And Deep Dense was my absolute favorite! PLEASE let it show up as some extra (although I'm not holding my breath!) ::short period of mourning::

OK, I am SO thrilled that Come, The Tower, Red Rover, Running Through the Garden, Smile At You, and Steal Your Heart away are gonna be on there.

This is especially true of RTTG. I never thought that would have a change in hell of being on an album, but here it is!!! I love that song!!! The device I built to communicate telepathically with Stevie must be working.... (just kidding folks! lol)

stefan, I don't like "Miranda" either - it's the only song from the "GOS" sessions I don't care for. I can't believe that this would be included at the expense of "Down On Rodeo" and "Wait For You" (aka "Shuffle Riff" and "Hit & Run"). A great shame.

The only thing I see I dont like of this list is Bleed To Love Her. I mean, thats already done. I would have like another song instead of BTLH. I'm going to listen all the songs from Gift of Screws, right now I dont remember any of them. Darn it, I'm getting old. lol

No you're not the only one! What you said sums up my feelings perfectly...there are VERY few LB songs that I don't like, and this is one of them. I pray that the album version will be radically different from the GOS demo that we have. "such a shallow untypical sound"...well said. On top of that, I really don't care for the use of the variation on the Travis-picked verse of Big Love '97 for the song.

Yea I noticed that the first time I heard it, it sounds like a toy clown or something! When I heard that I was so sure that "Gift Of Screws" was going to make it onto the album, and so the "insane laughter" could have been part of the "theme" of the album. I guess not! Oh well...

Well, i like miranda and can't listen to down on rodeo. Aren't we all different?

I'm satisfied by this tracklist, but my missing links are 'given thing" , "shuffle riff" and "wear you down" (steve's riff).

But what really amazes me, is that such a cracker hitsingle as Twist of Fate is left out.

Yeah, I kinda felt the same way when I looked at it, but I don't know why. I think I expected more surprises. (Although it's my own fault for knowing about all of the GOS tracks anyway.) IYWML would have been excellent and count me as another that really, really wanted Down on Rodeo there.

And didn't we read a while ago that there might be an old Buckingham Nicks outtake? Maybe I dreamed that. I was hoping Watchdevil or Without You...or The Witch. I guess they could have discarded one of those. But hey, maybe they'll surface as a b-side or something. (Speaking of which - I saw in the Sunday ads this weekend that Bon Jovi has relelased an 8-song CD of unreleased songs exclusively to Target...we can only hope that FM decides to do something similar.)

After mulling the list over, though, I'm very excited. I think I'm one of the few who really likes Miranda - it had Fleetwood Mac stamped all over it to me. I still think Peackeeper and Thrown Down are very, very strong tracks. And if Smile At You is on it, I'm all over this thing. I think seeing an actual list of songs has taken away some of what has been building in my head and I just wanted more, literally. Eighteen songs doesn't look like alot when it's listed out on a screen.
