I wonder if Lindsey's more reluctant to make radical changes to Stevie's stuff now that they've "mellowed out"?

Given the comment Stevie made to Rolling Stone last month... it seems that they STILL butt heads, at times, over the music. So much for "mellowed-out!"

It's my feeling that the only reason Lindsey really made "radical changes" to Stevie's songs, in the past, was the fact that she typically presented them to him as simple, unarranged, piano demos... which, obviously, would require a rather radical alteration in order to be serviceable as an album track.

However, "Thrown Down," and the other 'Trouble In Shangri-La' demos that Stevie pulled for Fleetwood Mac to use, were pretty much "finished demos." Some guitar... some keyboards... a drum machine... backing vocals.
Not too much for Lindsey to have to alter regarding the song itself, since the basic "feel" is already clear.
So it would just be a matter of laying the basic tracks, then making a few tweaks, doing a little bit of polishing, and adding some "glitz."
Which is typical of any production job... but definitely something that Lindsey excels at.

If you have any time, can you send it to me? If not, no big deal...I seem to have come upon this thread a little late. Anyway if you can my e-mail is [email protected]

Thanks!

[LilyRose]

Could you send it to me too. I almost feel bad for asking for this. There's a part of me that wants to wait to hear it, but there's an even bigger part that absolutely can't wait...
