You presume correctly!

I know his albums and a few songs by name. I'm really a Fleetwood Mac fan first and foremost, so I know his Fleetwood Mac songs.

If and when we do the 18 songs for Lindsey, I would need somebody that is more of a Lindsey solo fan than I to officiate those polls.

I volunteer myself if you need in the future.

Obviously that's if you don't have anybody else in mind. Don't want to step on any toes...

Actually I had both of you in mind!!! However it is looking like the "non-hits" contest will be done first as it has the most votes.

I really want to include Pre-Rumours songs in the non-hits contest, but I'm concerned about whether or not there would be enough participation out of the Pre-Rumours Ledgies, particularly among the Peter Green/Blues era fans.

I could just start with Future Games and go until Say You Will , including of course the Post-Rumours albums.

Thoughts?

Me too. But knowing M.S.B., he's gonna make a poll of all three choices eventually.

I think it would be a mistake to exclude part of the back catalogue. Just have to be prepared for a little less participation than with the "fab five" era.

Okay Ledgies, looks like our next contest will be to find the Favorite Non-hit Fleetwood Mac song of all time, including all FM albums - Pre-Rumours, Rumours, and Post-Rumours eras. Hopefully more that just 3 Ledgies vote in the Pre-Rumours polls!

Here's what I'm thinking... 3 threads per album. The first thread would be "Rate these songs from 1 to 5 stars." The second one would be the nominations thread for all the non-hits, and the final thread would be to find the favorite non-hit song from that album.

Confused?

I'm gettting the final touches worked on for the new contest. The first thread focusing on the '75 album will be posted tonight.

Any suggestions on how to handle this contest with the Pre-Rumours albums/songs? According to wikipedia, the top 20 hits in the UK were "Albatross", "Man of the World", "Oh Well", and "The Green Manalishi".

BUT there was a post Green FM, beyond those hits, both in the UK and the US. Don't forget about Hypnotized, Sentimental Lady, and even if uncharted, the best FM song of all time, WHY.

Bob Welch SAVED Fleetwood Mac - Mick Fleetwood

True, but should the same standard we are using for the Rumours era apply to the Pre-Rumours era, both with Green/Blues and the "Christine/Welch" factions?

Hypnotized and Why won favorite songs back in 2010 for the Christine/Welch albums. If they are included again here, they will just win again.

I don't really want the same songs that won the 2010 contest winning this one.

Here's what I'm thinking as far as Pre-Rumours is concerned, removing these songs counting them as "hits"...

Albatross
Man of the World
Oh Well
Green Manalishi
Station Man? - it did win overall Favorite Danny FM song in 2010
Sentimental Lady
Hypnotized
Why

So, is the list agreed upon as far as Pre-Rumours songs are concerned?
