I was at both those shows...no cancellations there. Stevie was awesome.

Wait a minute. Do you mean there is no refund for canceled show?

"Illness" has become LiveNationspeak for "we didn't sell enough tickets and we're going to lose money if this show happens".

Went through the same thing with Elvis Costello @ The Borgata last month.

No one is pointing a finger at Stevie.

But fingers were being pointed at the management and the promoters. Are they responsible? Who knows. The fact is that people vented about Webster without swearing off Stevie forever or blaming people. In essence, people got over it.

Melacine and Maria I am so sorry that your show got canceled. I was one of the Webster Hall crew and while I know she was sick I'm still somewhat bitter about it. I just wanted to chime in and show my support. Melacine, I am a big fan of your blog by the way.

Ah, I see. I live in New England and have never had to "travel" to a concert, so that didn't occur to me.

I found good seats to Cincy, but I don't know if she's going to cancel or not. Not real sure what to do.

I'd buy them -- worse situation, she cancels and you get a full refund. I don't think she's going to cancel that show unless she cancels Atlanta too.

A long time ago probably back in the 80's .I came up with a rule about traveling distance. Its the 300 mile radius
rule.I'm in Connecticut which is the best place to be right in the middle of the action.I know 300 miles dont get me anywhere. So if things like cancelations happen which did happen a few times .I just have to write off the gas and tolls,hotel..but I would love to travel like you guys to go see her. Will rules are made to get broken.

I wonder if Livenation will or could transfer the money from the canceled show to the next good show.
