Great publicity, I'll give it that.

Default Fleetwood Mac Tribute episode on Glee!

I just read on zap2it.com,that they are working on an episode based entirely on the Fleetwood Mac Rumours cd...how exciting is this, and Im sure it will be during sweeps month in May just around the time stevie's cd will be out...more great exposure for Stevie!

I'm with you. I'm not a huge fan of Glee, but we'll see how it goes. I wouldn't mind them doing Don't Stop, GYOW, IDWK. But I'd rather they not touch GDW or The Chain.

Default again..

I don't watch the Glee, but it does sound like an interesting show... a weekly drama/comedy/musical.. I mean Rumours is drama.. has it's funny moments or at least they make loving fun.. and it's music.....

I'll be checking it out.. go Fleetwood Mac!

Awesome!

I suspect I'm slightly outside of Glee's target demographic, but I love it. My whole family does. Sure, I don't think its changing the world with any grand, moral message, but it's fun and silly and entertaining and I don't need much more in a tv show. Mostly, I think the cast is incredibly talented, and I enjoy watching them perform.

I can only see them basing an episode on Rumours as an entirely positive thing. Introducing a whole bunch of new kids to an album that is 34 years old? Giving those kids who've already discovered Fleetwood Mac a reason to smile and say to their skeptical friends, "See? I told you they rocked."? I'm very much looking forward to it

I like your attitude!

I'm rather excited for this, actually. I wonder if it will be for one of the final episodes of this season, or if it's being planned for next season? I haven't really been able to find a concrete answer on that one.

It'll be more like the Carrie Underwood debacle / Taylor Swift cataclysm in which youngsters complained about the old people ruining the songs.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

I personally have NEVER heard anyone say that Stevie ruined Rhiannon haha. That was ALL Taylor, she just flat out sounded horrible, Stevie or no Stevie.

And I have to say your use of "the old people" made me chuckle, as that's what my 9 year old sister refers to FM as haha.

I can't say I've ever even seen the GYOW/Carrie Underwood performance though...

ETA: Also, unless one of them makes a surprise cameo, they won't be singing on the songs thus they won't have the opportunity to "ruin" them.

It is great to get the Mac exposed to a younger crowd I love Rumours love everything Fleetwood Mac but they are cursed with The Rumours Album and the Mac are alot more than just the rumours album. It would be nice if they picked from there catalog of albums instead of just doing one whole album cover from the band. It is great hope they do a great job and hope the episode is good cause that show is a hit or miss either the episode is good or its bad thank god the episode with Landslide was good. It's a cheezy show but alot of people watch it so good exposure for the band even if they hate the show good publicy for them. These younger people watching it need to realize that Fleetwood Mac is a legendary band from 1967 to present with mega hits and Fleetwood Mac is a band that is up there with the great bands like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Doors, Led Zepplin, The Who, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead,Queen and among many others.

I am not a big fan of this show Glee will watch it for the Mac episode.

They just played The Chain on 103.5 here in Austin, and following it the DJ said: "Rumor has it Glee will be featuring Fleetwood Mac's Rumours on one of their upcoming episodes. Pretty cool!"

I don't plan on watching just for the covers, but certainly if any one of the Macsters makes a cameo appearances, I'll be right there.

Given this statement made not too long ago regarding a Cameo: "We can of course hope and dream of a day when that could happen," I think it's a pretty likely possibility that she'll make one, if no one else does.

Personally, I think it'd be hilarious if Stevie were to come to one of them In [Their] Dream(s), catalysing the Rumours debacle. It'd be even more hilarious if Stevie and Lindsey would make an appearance together, but that would require them to poke fun at themselves/their drama which I'm not sure I see either of them doing tbh

I'm not sure I want a whole new batch of Gleeks/teeny boppers claiming to be die hard Mac fans because they heard Jane Doe murder Gold Dust Woman on a television show. Honestly...This news kind of depresses me. Maybe I'm just a snob and very selfish with my loves.
