I think a strike is warranted and deserved. From what I hear, he was banned from 7W for acting like a jerk, too.

I don't play the victim. Lots of Ledgies have been banned from 7W. None of us care.

I think this is the best advice in this thread! David, you messed up, accept responsibility, understand he has a right to be mad and just give him time to cool off. Once he has, if you are sincerely sorry I'm pretty sure he'll forgive you and it's something you'll probably laugh about in the future. But like Pip says, let him cool off and show him that you are genuinely sorry and I'm sure it will work out fine.

I intend do do so. There's no excuse for what happened. I promised him I could come thru and I didnt, bottom line. I pride myself in keeping my word and when I dont, even if it's not intentional, it really bothers me.

Viv, I have never at any time said I went to any Fleetwood Mac show or otherwise with Mike, I did say I know him and he does live in Minneapolis, but again I DID NOT AT ANY TIME say we had gone to shows together. Please stop saying stuff about me thats not true. Thank you.

I didn't realize you knew him personally.

And I'd be really f*cking pissed if a friend didn't pick me up on time for the airport. it's not like you were late to dinner - he could have missed his flight. I've sure he'll get over it eventually, but I totally get why he's angry with you David.

No it was actually another friend of mine not Mike. No I totally understand that hes pissed at me. I'm not making any excuses I flat out didnt come thru. Like I said we'el just have to see what transpires out of this.

David, you could send him a gift card for a local resturant for the amount of the cab ride. Or if you have the daughters address send a gift card to her for the amount at Toys are Us or Target. That would be a way of solving the problem. Your friend should not have called you and yelled after he got to FL. that is not wat a totaly fuctioning person does. Also you went to London and came home at it was at night that is a lot easier time to help out. When I travel early in the morning I just take a cab or the bus.
