So the weather was kind of cold and blah yesterday. It's chilly this morning, but it's supposed to warm up!!!

The weather's been all over the map here lately... anywhere from 70-90 during the day. It's been overwhelmingly beautiful, though. It's even starting to stay warm enough at night to hang out on my lil back patio!

The weather was beautiful today. We're back in the 70's for the rest of the week. I spent most of the day outside, and have the coloring to prove it!

Florida's daily afternoon thunderstorm season is on its way and I snapped this earlier today while I was going to the store for some things. It poured down for a few minutes and then cleared up again, that's what I like about the rains down here.

Do they not have those in NZ? Hell I didn't leave the country and still had to give up some things lol. Down here in FL I can't find a Frisches Big Boy or a Culvers or a decent cheese coney from like Goldstar Chili or Skyline both. I guess Chili and coneys were a Cincinnati area thing.

The closest "coney" you're going to find in Florida is from Sonic.

No they don't have Applebees, or generally any "American" eateries. We have Burger King, KFC, McDonalds... and Denny's (one that i know of)... there's also one Wendy's (but that's up in Auckland).

Luckily we have every one of those here. And a Sonic too, which surprised me. I think I saw a Dairy Queen either in Sarasota or Venice, one. But nowhere else yet around here. I like DQ, especially in summer. They have a Kilwin's ice cream parlor, I've seen one in St. Armands Circle in Sarasota and one in Venice but I've yet to eat anything from there but the place is always busy so it must be good.

I found a Boston Market too down here and I was so glad because every one of those closed over the years up in my corner of Ohio and Boston Market is so good! Why all the decent eateries like that fold, and the ****ty little guys remain, I don't know.

Boston market was awesome!

I really miss Chik Fil A.

Anyway... since you're in Sarasota (Amish paradise) make sure you try Der Dutchman. Or Troyer's Dutch Heritage.

Okay, I can't be the only one dying from seasonal allergies. Indeed, I get hit every year, but mine don't kick in until the last week of April - early May. This year it is like three weeks early. Ugh!!!!

I am blinded by the pollen. It's amazingly warm and sunny but I can't see or breathe! Argh
