Maybe she douses herself in that odor-neutralizing Febreze.

I love Charo.Shes about Stevie's age or alittle older and she is still stunning and beautiful.

That was funny.

Some people are allergic to some perfume scents.I worked with a couple of people that used to sneeze their heads off if they were around somebody with a lot of perfume on them.

If anyone runs across Celestine, its almost exact to her smell the night I smelled it, it's a little bit like the perfume Opium except Celestine has more floral.

I ordered some on Amazon when you posted this and got it here in two days. I smelled it before I opened the box lol. It is to say the least, very unusual.

During the late 70's & early 80's Patchouli oil was a pretty popular perfume used by guys and girls at that time.. You wouldn't want to put too much on, or end up with a massive headache..

Madonna had her Like A Prayer albums douced in patchouli oil and were shipped to the stores with its heavey scent. Does anyone else remember this?

Yes! Forgot all about that until you mentioned but now I remember people opening the inner sleeve to a burst of patchouli.

Patchouli takes me back to the 70s--incense, oil, etc., it was v popular.

YES! I bought the cassette of Like A Prayer (I know, what??) and it had this odd scent. Later I realized what it was.

Scents that Evoke Literary Memories Comes to Greenpoint Artisanal Store
Nov 26, 2014 by Tanay Warerkar

At present, STILLLIFE offers five scents. Dreamtiger, which is created with citrus, ylang ylang, and vetiver, and is named after a short story written by Jorge Luis Borges. Macondo, which contains sage and balsam is meant to recreate the wild outdoorsy feeling in the village by the same in Gabriel Garcia Marquez’ 100 Years of Solitude. Wild Heart is made with fresh cut flowers and meant to evoke the eponymous song by Stevie Nicks. Argonaut, made with patchouli, clary sage and violets hopes to recreate the floral and fresh feeling of Patti Smith’s poetry. And Green Cockatoo, with hints of tobacco and vanilla are meant to evoke the south as described in Wallace Stevens’ poem, Sunday Morning.

I'm responding to this now because I just found my cassettes and still have the Madonna Like a Prayer Tape. Still smells like Patchouli Oil. I told my friend Madonna's cousin & he laughed. (I'm originally from Detroit & lived a mile from Madonna's childhood home during her HS yrs so know some of her family)
