Wow - I keep my blinds open because I discovered that if no light seeps through - I'll pretty much never wake up I think I have an over-active sleep gene or something - and I know I'm not depressed...I just like to sleep.

and I always keep my place cold because I LOVE getting all warmed up in my heavy blankets....I love winter sleep...

It's odd - everyone in my family (grandparents, parents, siblings) are morning people...

I've also been very lucky in that I've never had problems with sleep...I could fall asleep right now if I had to

heh - I actually wouldn't mind - my over-sleeping tendencies really get in the way of things...

not me man, it takes me forever to drop off.....unless Im exhausted...or sick.

and if I wake up, I cant get back to sleep right away usually, which is why, if I wake up anywhere near when my alarm is supposed to go off, I just get up and have extra "me" time.

I'm in bed by 10 almost every night and up by 6. I love sunrises and the peace of the morning. I also have total morning energy and none at night. This does not make me good boyfriend material, but I am who I am.

Tonight's all messed up, though, because I'm on the east coast and my sense of time is all whacked.

i come from a long line of morning people. in bed by 8 or 9pm... up by 6am.

and me?

i, clearly, fell off the turnip truck and rolled into my house. i can't possibly be related. i go to bed no earlier than 2am. i work from noon-10pm - so on workdays, i get up at 9:45am (unless i run, then it's 8:30am). on weekends... the closer to noon, the happier i am. i actually feel ill and out of sorts if i have to be up early. and i don't even TRY to go to bed early. and i've always been like this. as a kid, i used to stay up til 1am or so, listening to music on my walkman, or just wandering around my house. i've always loved being the only person awake in the middle of the night.

I go to bed so late, it is really starting to become a problem. I go to bed about 4:00 or 5:00am and sometimes I don't get up until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I feel like I've gotten a head start on the day if I get up before noon. I just feel so groggy in the morning time that there is no point in getting out of bed if I don't have to. The only time I do get uo early is for work or for class (but most of my classes are after noon).

I sleep way too much! I just have no will power to get out of bed. I sometimes set four alarms and I still stay under the covers. It is my weakness! I just love curling up in bed. Even if I am not totally asleep, I love staying in bed in the morning. I always dream a lot. I like sleep for 15 minutes and then wake up and toss and turn... and repeat. All morning long! It is just heaven to me!

I actually like sleeping during the daylight better. I don't know why... I really don't like a lot of light. My eyes are sensative. So needless to say, I love the night!

Night time is my time! I can't explain it. I've tried to change, but it doesn't ever work out. I am a night owl and there is nothing I can do about it...

When I'm working, I'm usually in bed by 12 midnight, or maybe 12.30, and up again around 9am. In phases (and they are common) when I decide work is for loozers and I don't bother, I quickly fall into the "bed at 3am, up at 1pm" thing that is clearly my natural default setting. I am at my best from around 11pm till about 3am, when I get all my best ideas (like "it's time to give up my job") and I feel like writing novels etc. I am rubbish in the mornings, I never eat anything till after 12 noon, and I have yet to be convinced that stuff like "5am" and "6am" actually exist - they're just fabrications made by hard-working people designed to make me feel guilty.
