Want to lose some pounds quickly... start jogging/running if you can - it melts away fast! Get some friends together, sign up for a relay race in your area or some sort of 5 - 10k run or something and start working towards that... you'll get some good results pretty quick.

As for all the mention of Colorado, I hope to visit Denver yet again to do some snooping around...Lot of family secrets exist in Denver.
Haha. Let me know if I can be of any help.

I did start running again earlier this year. I have to be careful though because I've got joint issues.

*shudder* Running to me is the worst punishment possible. I HATE running. I've tried it - I've tried treadmill, outside - with friends - I despise running.

I think that's because it was always used a punishment in school - do something bad? RUN!!!! And I had many times where I was in pain and about to pass out - but I had an overweight P.E. teacher yelling at me to RUN!!!!

HATE it.

So I'll be losing the weight with no running

I did it three years ago - I biked a ton, eliptical, weights and swimming - but I hate indoor swimming - so I've not gone once while in Rochester...I'm SO looking forward to my move west - I think that will really help me get back on track.

girl don't even get me started on this issue. it's been a lifelong battle for me. but like most of you have said, I'm at the point where I'm disgusted and must do something. I've been dieting for 2 weeks and exercising this week...so far, I've lost I think 2 lbs. wtf? anyway, I'm staying away from sugar and watching calories as much as possible. no fast food, etc. my goal is to be in better shape by my birthday in late August.

I think it's important that the time spent exercising includes something that you somewhat enjoy.
