i probably sound like a broken record now but danm it I want to hear this, and i just can't do the whole yousendit thing. Why can't people post things like they did in the old days, with the simple mp3's like the ones at BN.net and the old SN Underground.

Heh I cant believe it, it actually worked for me, first time ever. Maybe because the clips were short. But anyway, yeah I absolutely agree with everyone so far, her vocal SHOCKED me. I think she's been slowly getting MUCH better the past few years witht he Gold Dust then Petty tours, but this here Woodstock is her best sounding Rock Vocal since Enchanted, Then Dance or maybe even Street Angel.

I don't believe this place sometimes.
Stevie finally gets her fat, lazy, mostly uninspired ass out there and turns in a ferocious vocal and the collective response is a yawn. Only about 4 people even comment on it.
I swear the only thing as puzzling as the woman herself...her fans. I am sure the abortion article is much more interesting than her most energetic performance in the last 20 years.

Ridiculous.

Uhhh wow...I will get around to hearing this soon, but I agree with Sparky, this is great, maybe people aren't reading the thread? This is a massive thing to comment on, Stevie has been going more out there in the last year or two and I don't think has been getting as much credit as she deserves, I'm glad she's mixing it up by her standards and I think the quality of her performances at the moment (which are high) demonstrate she must be in a pretty happy place at the moment.

She isn't holding back at all - maybe she was inspired the the horns, and those freaking amazing backup singers.

I think it's great that Stevie is trying/doing some other things besides the usual - I only listened to it once cause it didn't sound that great, but upon a second listen, yeah... she's got a lot of energy and she gives it her all. Maybe if the sound wasn't so tiny I'd appreciate it more.

I finally listened to it this past weekend. When she first started singing, I swear to you, I didn't know if it was her. I paused, said "Oh my God, is that Stevie?" and turned it up louder. Fan****ingtastic, I say. Belting it out, so much emotion, her voice sounds so rich & powerful.

No kidding. I thought, "B-12 shot ? Growth hormone ? Stevie impersonator ?"
I want video. It sounds worth a flight to Switzerland. Beats the living hell out of the performances I saw in Australia. Different league altogether.

Hey, I did the best I could. I wasn't even going to record anything, because I didn't want to waste my time on that, but I figured later she might do something cool and different and I'd want to listen to that again, and I was right. I debated whether or not to even post it, because of the poor quality, but I had to let you guys hear how amazing she sounded.

Well God Bless Ya for doing it, because it doesn't appear anyone else did. I know in the past they have broadcast part of the festival, so I hope it was recorded. Did you see any cameras ?

Don't get me wrong... I do appreciate the fact you DID record it, and you certainly didn't waste your time doing so. Thanks for making the trip down - cause like sparky said, it doesn't look like anyone else did

Yes, lots of cameras, so here's hoping that one day it will end up airing on television or on dvd.

Does someone have a link to this performance of "Woodstock"? Or what about "Rock And Roll" or "Stand Back"?

danax is a good lady for taping this historic show & giving us a taste of its pleasures. I don't think it will ever show up in professional format, but one never knows.
