I hope your baby is okay. Maybe he is having urinary tract problems? Have you noticed any crystals? Poor baby. I will light a candle for him.

Nope - we've been there, done that. Thanksgiving of 2004- when I was calling him the kitty with the $700 penis. He's been on Rx food from the vet and no problems since then...

Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry, Brian. You know, I sobbed for 20 minutes after my cat died in that vet's office. When he cried as they injected him, I just kept saying "I'm sorry, baby, I love you" (I called him my baby even though he was 20). The vet then reassured me that I was doing the right thing, and I know it was for the best and it had to be done, but it still makes me cry to think of that moment. It was one of the hardest things I'ver ever done. I feel for you so much, Brian.

At least my other cats are all healthy, including Rufus' older litter mate Missy (Who is laying in my lap as I type this...Thank God, I have a wireless keyboard.)
My little man Yoshi sits in my lap while I type even though I don't have a wireless keyboard. He likes to sit in front of my monitor too.
I'm sorry to hear about baby Rufus, Brian.

One thing I like about cats is they generally live a pretty long time.

Is there anything we won't do for them? I've recently started mine on organic cat food because I want to make sure they're getting enough moisture and little preservatives in their diet.
I just lit my special peace candle with rosemary, patchouli and lavender essential oils for Cagie. To his good health...

$$$ for their food than we do for our food when grocery shopping (Our frikkin' children eat twice a day, Dry food in the morning and canned food in the evening.)

Right now Run-Nugget is doing his usual Labrador-CAT-riever routine in the hallway, He keeps bringing me his "jingleball" toy each time I throw it into the hallway, all the while "yippin'" at me...And he NEVER quits until I give up (Great, he just tripped over a rug-gopher and went did a 360 vertically...Darn idiot just keeps a bringin' me his ball...Now he is doin' the dying cockroach)

Oh, did I mention Patches (The Infamous Crackhead Calico) gave birth to her third (And final) litter on March 9th? We had her mate "Jr" fixed and yet he was able to father those darn kittens ("Nugget", "Re-Tread", "Squeak" & "Bertha")

Kitties! weak spot! I'll think about you both Livia!

(I already told your story to my 15 year old cat Smeets. She was looking sad while I was ramblin' about a cat in the USA who was very ill.)

Aaaw, Smeets! Yoshi and Peeking - look like twins! Gorgeous!

I call my kitty "baby" all the time too. He's my handsome boy, my purry monster, my beautiful beast....

He's on the mend - they think it's either a bladder or kidney infection, still not sure. The latest blood test results were good. His appetite is back and as long as he can keep his food down, I should be able to take him home tomorrow as planned...the fluids and meds he'll continue to receive will help immensely! She also said that he seems pretty relaxed and feeling better, all stretched out on his side, purring and napping. I will visit him tonight.

The raccoon chewed a new way out, at the corner of my garage. They re-opened the chimney hole and put another trap on the roof. I can't wait until I have a good night's sleep again...it's like the beginning of The Exorcist - except those were rats...anyway, you know what I mean...

Yeah, my cat's on the same diet as Livia's for the same reason. Except he's got the $1,000 penis. I guess that's Boston's cost of living for ya. Before that he ate Wellness brand food which is all human grade stuff though not organic. He gets organic kitty litter, lol. I don't get him the stuff with all of those chemicals. He gets organic catnip too. Yes, he is spoiled and I adore him. Good for you for taking such good care of your babies!
