SapphireSister: i totally agree about the music making the song. that's why RTTG & EFO are my 2 fave songs from SYW. in that instance it's the music that got me interested initially otherwise i just don't care for a song. and then i go pay attention to the lyrics. there are a LOT of Stevie lyrics i LOVE esp in the demos. but hearing them disappoints me. i dont have any musical ability wotsoever but i know what i like In particular...i LOVE the lyrics to Old Fashioned but the music just brings it down.

i was going to start a new post but thought i'd just post here coz it's SYW related.

before SYW was finalized...they had 23 songs that they had to cut down to the 18 on the cd.

I know there's

I Am Waiting
Not Make Believe
Love Minus Zero

i'm having a mental blank if i know the other 2
but were they both Lindsey's songs
or was one of them Stevie's?
{i'm assuming this is not referring to the live versions of SYW & PK coz Stevie was talking about cutting it down BEFORE they released it so those 2 songs wouldn't have been considered}

It's called a goat filter, except I think it was malfunctioning during parts of "Destiny Rules".

It has been rumoured that All The Beautiful Worlds was recorded for SYW.
For the record, I liked Chris Lord Alge's mixes (Destiny Rules, Say You Will Cold remix) better than Mark Needham's.

Is there somewhere we can compare the two engineers' respective work?

Well, you can listen to Say You will the CD version and then the cold remix. Do you have it? If not, I'll post the cold remix for you.

That breaks my heart! ATBW is my absolute favorite unreleased Stevie song ever. I would have taken if over any of the SYW songs. Oh well there's alywas hope for it on a new album but the chances of that aren't very good

Are you guys sure that there was 23 songs recorded?

I know of "I am waiting"

After seeing Lindsey's Soundstage last night
One would think "Down on Rodeo" and "Someone's gotta change your mind"
were considered for SAY YOU WILL

Where did you guys here the rumour for "All the beautiful worlds"??
THAT WOULD HAVE ROCKED

I still think that they have one more record in them
in the DESTINY RULES DOC Lindsey said "and this is the studio
were building where fleetwood mac will hopefully record their
next album"

And we all know Mick is money hungry

And John is always up for anything!

And we all know that Stevie loves being in the band

I WANT ANOTHER RECORD!!!!

I don't think I've heard this "cold remix" of Say You will. If not too much trouble, would you post it.?.?

We need another album
SAY YOU WILL is absolutely perfect

God, I even like Silver Girl and Miranda now

At first, those were the only two songs that I didn't...

It is such a brilliant album

Let's join forces and let Mick know we
want another album

He's the one that will make it happen!
