I could only bear to watch about half of it. Bizarre, because I have plenty of love for nintendo and Mr Belvedere yet this was just sooooo bad. And viewing the intro has shaken the foundation of my current crush on Jason Batemen.

Naw, Sandy Dunce didn't get AIDS (that would have been unintentionally hilarious). Bateman's best friend (I think his name was Rich) got AIDS. It was such a downer and such a ****ty way to send off the show. I am an unabashed Valerievaleriesfamilythehoganfamily fan, but hoo boy, that finale stunk. In retrospect, I think the writers were a little masochistic. The episode after Valerie died, they had the house catch on fire.

I hated the trend of sitcom finales being so serious. ****, even "Full House" had the Olsen brat fall off a horse and break her back or some such crud.

In any event, I want to relive the Hogans on DVD or, at the very least, another syndication run.

Me too! Believe it or not, I watched a bit of it last night when I was rummaging around my old tape collection, trying to see if there was anything I could tape over. I'm totally going to watch this now. That roller coaster thing was crazy. Great, there go my plans to get an early (read: before 5 AM) night!

Get out!!! How about that intro by George and Barbara Bush? It never fails to make me laugh until my sides hurt. Or when Bugs Bunny says "joint"? And Simon says something like "I think it's marijuana"? Oh, it's a favorite possession of mine. I remember it used to be in the video stores as a free rental.

You know what I found when I moved a little while back? Old tapes of...Small Wonder!

I watched an episode and was reminded of the time when saying "Gag me with a spoon" was considered uber cool. That show must have been shot on a budget of fifteen bucks, I swear.

Seriously! I've got a bunch of weird, retro stuff lying around that I refuse to get rid of/tape over. I'm never going to tape over this; it's just too hilarious. Funnier still, it's tacked on to the end of one of our home movies...

Do you remember the Alice In Wonderland miniseries from, I don't know, '85? The one with Carol Channing? The Jabberwocky totally scared the piss out of me. Anyway, I found that one, too.
