I heard on the radio that she cried too. That seems kind of suspect though. You'd think she'd be used to people not liking her?

Steve, you & I should start a thread on the thematic & musical parallels between Stevie's "Beauty & the Beast" ("I would die/In your shadow/I believe") & David Bowie's "Beauty & the Beast" ("Hey hey/Smile at least/You can't say no to the beauty & the beast/Darlin' "). It would rock the forum to its very foundations!

That's gotta be false. (And if it's not, good. She should feel bad about herself.) She knows exactly what kind of reaction she's going to get with the way she speaks. That's half the point with her.

Clinton's been out of office for five whole years, during which time conservatives have held an iron grip on nearly every facet and level of government, but they're still obsessed with the guy. "Okay... but -"

well put, perfect post as is +++

Agreed. Though she is a bitch, evil, arrogant, and mean, she does have a right to say it. Its like the nazis. No one agrees with them, but they still get to march.

Bingo! As Stanley Fish so eloquently stated once, we've gotta run the f*ckers out! Don't engage these motherf*ckers in a debate, RUN THEM THE F*CK OUT.

if the majority of her audience boo'd her, who the heck hired her to speak? why didnt THEY stop the booers? thats a heck of a lot of money to fork over for an aborted speech....

btw: Im not surprised at the response she got, I agree, its her Karma. She's done nothing but belittle and berate and I am personally glad she got boo'd. She may have the right to say what she wants in her speech but the audience has the right to disagree. If others in the audience or faculty (or whatever) felt she was being treated shamefully then they should have stepped forward. Im not sure why it was allowed to continue but it doesnt jive with hiring her in the first place

Probably the campus College Republicans student group. And I'm sure they knew when they hired her that she would get a virulent reaction.

To get attention for themselves? College Republican groups aren't exactly the most popualr student groups on most American college campuses, especially in a state like Connecticut. Plus, Coulter is a high profile name, and it always looks good when a student group can draw a "celebrity" speaker.

I was trying to be a bit sarcastic there. Yeah, those college Republicans can be a bit boorish at times cant they?

Ann Coulter is a disgusting piece of white trash. She is among the dregs of society. Clearly - this is someone who has achieved great financial success from being nothing more then an angry mediocre human being.
A walking example of the "dumbing down of America".

Oddly enough that guy that we employee in the White House fits the same description!
