This pic bugs. Not sure why. She looks kinda cute, but there's something odd about it.

I think maybe it's 'cause she's 50%, "WOW this is gonna be FUN!"
and 50% "Go AWAY! It's TOO EARLY! This is supposed to be a
f'g VACATION! See? SMILING!!! Take the damn PIC please!"

yuk-yuk!

Come to think of it, I think maybe there's also something you're noticing
"subconsciously" but not consciously -
she's wearing her normal, everyday clothes, and not acting all "mystical"
and "magical" - she's not being Stevie Nicks Big Huge Stage Presence/
Rock Star, but rather, Stephanie Nicks, Excited Guest at the Melbourne
Cup/ Tired Traveller Who's About To Go See If They Have "Judging Amy"
on TV in This Hotel Room and Then Check Out Room Service.

I don't think that EO17 or Stand Back would be great choices for an orchestra. Not with their current pacing or structure. I agree with her there.

FIVE OR SIX SONGS ?

I can't justify the trip for that.

I think it's cool that she feels comfortable enough with herself to allow herself to be photographed without a bunch of special lighting, photoshopping, etc. Maybe she's turned over a new leaf and is just thinking -- to hell with it, I'm 57, deal!

Kinda off subject, but when I see pictures like this it reminds me that she's not getting younger (even though it's a good picture for a 57-year-old). Anyway, do you guys really think she will take an ENTIRE YEAR off after this Australia mini-tour? I'm guessing Mr. Fleetwood will have her back touring with the Mac sooner than she thinks. What do you guys think?

I think it's cute! It's a candid photo of her in her hotel room, not the cover of next month's Vogue . Consider too that the main light source is coming from an adjacent window, and one made of obscured glass at that. Not really optimal conditions for an early morning photoshoot.

I think the "eye thing" is just a combo of shadows, cake-y makeup, and a little wrinkle or two made worse than it actually is by sharpening of the photo for publication (kinda like the Condi Rice pic people were in an uproar about. Except that Ms. Rice is a lizard-hag to begin with.)

Yep. As usual, this whole thing is lame. I'm sooooooo tired of the quarter-assed execution of her stuff.

She will have about a total of six months to prepare for one show and five or six songs is the best she can do??? Lame. Lame. Lame.

"Stand Back" with an orchestra would be awful. Please do not do it.

There will be nothing creative or new on this thing. Just the same old recycled, tired show. Record a new album or retire already...

Now, Tiff, don't go ruining everyone's chance to grouse and nitpick! Party pooper!

I've decided that I would be happy with the Gold Dust Tour being her last if it meant more new music; but if she really has no intention of recording again, I say tour away!

I think she should retire from the road and concentrate on recording. But the road is where the money's at right now, not in recording albums.

A full-length set, with five or six songs backed by an orchestra... sounds pretty cool to me.

But then I wasn't expecting her to come out and do 18 songs backed by an orchestra, with the night's hightlight being a stirring rendition of "Battle Of The Dragon."
