With all due respect, tough ****. I don't want my tax dollars funding faith-based initiatives, but there's nothing I can do about it.

Because of what...if this happened you could POSSIBLY get more of the income you work so hard for?!? And btw. I love how you promote violence if it suits your needs! (I know it was just a joke. at least I hope!)

why? isnt the Bible full of prophets? I happen to believe in psychic abilities.

btw: I like you too, as far as that goes, but for you to say I lost credibility is ironic to say the least. I consider myself pretty well read, and I dont just stick to one topic. I can support my position with primary sources (like the definition of veneration for example) whereas you rely on opinion pieces.

As I said in the beginning, this wasnt meant to pick on Catholics per se, but to point out the obvious inconsistencies with the Catholic postions and actions.

Join the Libertarian party damn it! . I'm thinking about it if we can't get Bush impeached or something doesn't change within the Republican party/or the current administration soon. I'm so aggravated with my party right now! Or who knows...might just be an independent.

If I hear Ann jumps ship...I know for a fact that I will follow.

But seriously, the real conservatives have to stay and fight for their party and that is what I plan to do!

Well, really, who does EXCEPT to get that thrown at them? (I might not spell it right, but at least I use the right word.) All I'm saying is that you should really think things out a bit more.

(Maybe that's why I have an issue with people who are too ideologic, regardless of leanings. If you let ideology be a crutch to get out of thinking things out for yourself, then man YOU ARE SCREWED! And, you're ESPECIALLY screwed if you live and die by the words of Ann Coulter.)

And, from what you've said in the past, people shouldn't protest the war (or Shrub) if, say, their son was actually KILLED in the war. Because, hey, she got a souvenir flag and a free funeral, what more could she possibly want, eh? Mothers of dead soldiers are just NEVER satisfied.

All is fair, though I have NEVER claimed to be a good speller, it's late, and I worked a full day (week). But, if we're going to be picky, it's "Department of Education." You should capitalize letters when talking about specific departments.

I think you made pretty good points. As someone who was raised Catholic and attended (read: was forced to attend) Catechism for 8 miserable years, I'd say the notion of Catholics worshipping Mary and other such persons is pretty valid.

If you are talking about "the loon"...well she is a mouthpiece for the left so...But others, sure why not...as long as their grief isn't driving them to oppose.

Hey, I'm not thrilled that my tax dollars are going to be used to bail out the Big Three (AGAIN). There have been significant increases in fuel prices and Detroit continues making gas guzzling vehicles, while the Japanese are building extremely fuel efficient vehicles. Gee, are we talking about 1978 or 2005? There are waiting lists for Toyotas and Hondas, while the Big Three had to offer employee pricing to still fall short of sales projections. While I, like many others, am extremely pissed that the suits in Detroit never seem to learn and continue getting chased around with their tails between their legs, I also have to accept that those jobs, and the jobs that spin off from those jobs are a major force in our economy. In other words, you do what's right for the society.

Thank you Moony.

BTW, my Mother went to Catholic boarding school and learned a LOT about the various Saints and such...Many of the men of the Church are Godly men and served in the highest sense. I am not picking on them or on the positive things the Church offers. I hope you know that. I hope all Ledgie Catholics know that.
There is much beauty in the Church, and it should be acknowledged and I DO.
