Default Names

Over the years, I've seen some interesting names ( coworkers, friends, etc.) I'm not starting this thread to make fun of anybody, I just think some names are very unique, for better or worse. Here goes:

First name Yu, last name Ho.

I was reading the obits last week (I don't know why I do this) and a woman was survived by several kids including her son Nimrod.

First names Nugget, Jafrica, Precious, Charm.

Last names Kuntz, Phuc, Gay (my cousin)

I knew a family in high school who named all their daughters Mary with different middle names (Mary Kate, Mary Ann, Mary Beth, Mary Carol, etc.) There were 7 or 8 of them.

We recently had someone come into the office. Their first name is: .

No lie; try filing that one.

Really original names that I think are beautiful:
Lux (really)
Devin
Aubrey (my Goddaughter)
Lindon

Anyone else heard any unique names that you loved or gave you a chuckle?

My father has an uncle or second uncle (I've never met him) named Thomas Thomas. And I always get a kick out of the name of one of the news stations weather reporters : Amy Freeze. My extended family all lives in Ohio, included a cousin, named Trenton. My immediate family and I live throughout NJ, so my grandfather in OH jokes by called Trenton , "N. J."

I knew a Dick Head. ....went to high school with his son.

In college, I met a girl named Reaganomic. She went by Reagan, though.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, I once knew someone named Sandy Beech. In high school, my health/gym teacher's name was Mrs. Clapp. I felt so bad for her because everyone called her The Clap.

Ditto my sister. The girl married a guy named Mike Ball. Sandy Beech Ball.

Here are my corkers :

The drug store Kids - Modess, Benaedryl, Suetafette.

Remarkably clunky girl name in Portland newspaper : Marqueeshia.

Some other random silly ones : Mecca, Paisley, P.A., Binky, Blue, and Bruscetta.

Years ago, I had the cut out page from a 1980's Portland phone book, which no lie, had a listing for Penelope Poopstain. It must have been a joke, but we laughed about it for YEARS.

I LOVE that one. Not because it's a good name, but because it's one helluva unique one. Marqueeshia. Ha. I had a Jamaican neighbor about two years ago named Josophita. Not as good as Marqueeshia, unfortunately.

What parent would be able to look their kid in the eye after naming the poor thing that?

And what was it that Penn or Teller just recently named their daughter? Christ, that was a heinous one.

I can't even begin to imagine my reaction if someone introduced themselves as Reaganomic.

I worked with a girl a few summers ago whose name is Unique.
I worked with a lady who named her baby Unique. Not sure if she spelled it that way or not though.

Yeah, the double name thing is a bit odd. Thomas Thomas, William Williams. I went to school with a Robert Roberts.
