and from the others you mention: missy elliot, she's really good. I find myself liking a lot of snoop dog songs too, they're really cleverly produced.

Edit.. Hmm, how did this happen? I thought I edited my first post. Uh, nevermind.

"I Play Chicken With The Train"---Cowboy Troy

Right - ok - if we're counting "Rapture" here then that would be my favorite

Me either but it seems that every radio station here plays it (in fact, they took off a big alternative station here Y100--and replaced it with rap). I do like Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff's Summertime and Around The Way Girl by LL Cool J. My best friends boyfriend grew up in North East Philly so it's all he listens to and when i'm around them, I get stuck listening to it too
-_- I liked Twista's Overnight Celebrity and a few Missy Elliot songs. Other than that, i'll pass.

Anything by Eminem/Salt 'N Pepa/Will Smith/D12
Wild Thing & Funky Cold Medina - Tone Loc
Mama Said Knock You Out/Going Back To Cali/Big Ole Butt - L.L. Cool J
Fight For For Your Right/Sabotage - Beastie Boys
Baby Got Back - Sir Mix-A-Lot
Almost anything by 2 Live Crew

I am not a big fan of rap, but I do love Rappers Delight. In fact, I "rapped" a verse of it for my daughter this weekend, and she said "can you do that again?!?!" I also like some of Salt 'n Pepa's stuff, "Let's talk about sex," for example.

I hate sitting at a red light in my car, with the windows up, and having someone in the next lane with the loud thumping bass and actually being able to hear the "lyrics." At least with the "older" rap you could understand most of the words. As much as I hate Britney Spears, I'd rather have my daughter like her music instead of rap.

"Mo Money, Mo Problems" by Biggie, Puffy and Mase

That song takes me right back to high school the year I graduated.
