I can't find them. For some reason there isn't a real demand for Walter Brennan song lyrics.

I know it goes like this in one part

"Farmer took the boll weevil
And he throwed it in the red hot sand
Boll weevil said to the farmer, "I'll stand it like a man"
This'll be my home..."

Pretty bad.

How about Tracey Ullman's They Don't Know? I was OBSESSED with that record as a kid. It was scary.

Call me crazy, but I think it's still a good pop song. Of course, that Paul McCartney was in the video didn't hurt, either. But, in the end Tracey Ullman will always have a soft spot in my heart if for no other reason than it was her show that gave us the Simpsons.

Oh, I still love it and still listen to it. Almost all of her songs were great (Breakaway, I'm Always Touched By Your Presence, Dear, Bobby's Girl, etc). I adore Tracey Ullman, she's a genius. I've always been a huge fan and am dying for them to release The Tracey Ullman Show and Tracey Takes On on DVD. Did you catch her HBO special a couple of weeks ago? Fabulous.

I'm sure at least the older Ledgies know these songs, but I love everything on Schoolhouse Rock and Free To Be You And Me.

OH YES I HAVE!! In fact, it's on The Very Best of Dr. Demento, along with "Fish Heads" "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah," and songs like "My Dead Dog Rover," "They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!," "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow," and "Dead Puppies."

I'll be teaching American history next year, and in a different grade, and I'm not using any textbook. I was at Barnes & Noble last night pricing the set to see about requiring it for each student, but the America Rocks songs are only available with the others, so no go.

I saw Schholhouse Rock Live several times in Chicago & once when it came to Austin (the Austin version sucked).

BTW, what the hell IS your function?

Ha. Have fun with that.

Gentlemen don't beat the hell out of ladies. Oops. Just answered my own question then.

Yeah, I bought the Dr. Demento cd just for "Fish Heads," but now I'm ordering The Best of Barnes and Barnes (the actual artist that
did the song). I've only ever heard the one song, but with titles like "Kiss Me Where It Stinks," "Public Toilet," "Party in My Pants," "Boogie Woogie Amputee," and "Sit On My Lap and Call Me Daddy," I couldn't resist.
