Congratulations! What a great job. It really does take a special person to be a nurse.

Congrats, Curtis!!! How long until you're planning on joining the workforce? Are you gonna move to the big city and work in a hospital or something like that? It must be awesome to be in a field where there is high demand for your skills. Great salaries for nurses, from what I hear as well.

I've had a job for a month or so...just had to decided on which hospital to work for. I start work next month, after I take boards. I will be working at the University Hospital on a telemetry floor......and the city is fairly big....a lot of college kids, since West Virginia U is here.

Telemetry?? Isn't that related to cardiac arrest type people that are borderline ICU? I don't know anything about medicine, but that sounds kinda stressful to me. Then again, all of nursing sounds stressful to me. I don't have the patience or bedside manner for any of that stuff.

"Nurse!! I need my pills!!" "Nurse, I'm uncomfortable!!!" "Nurse, my bedpan is full!!!" "NURSE!!!!!!" {beep, beep, beep, beep, beep on the call device thingy}

OY!!! I would be the worst nurse in the universe....

Congrats! That sounds great and so exciting! And DSL is SO much better than dial-up; I just recently found that out myself!

Congratulations Curtis! My mother just got her Bachelors of Science in Nursing about 3 years ago. I remember staying up late and quizzing her on microbiology. You should be really proud!

Telemetry is pretty stressful. We have to keep an eye on the monitors to make sure everyone's heart is working the right way. Thank goodness the monitors beep when a heart rhythm goes outta control.

Oy....I will be gray by 30.
