I'm all about the bacon, too! We have a hole in the wall place called Mann's Grille, and they deep fry their bacon. It comes out all crunchy and chewy, and they serve you about a pound of it, and damn is it good!

Also, as me and friends call it, chicken f*cking tacos (say it fast, it's funny), homemade, with lots of tobasco! OMG!!! To die for!

Speaking of deadly margs...have you ever been to Polvos on South 1st? Talk about your medicinal margaritas.. We shared two pitchers with our German friends this weekend---they could barely walk outta there! Good times...

Polvos you say? No! Sounds close to El Mercado, though....Mexican Martinis at the Cedar Door, another fave! Germans who couldn't hold their liquor? I would have paid to see that!

The Japanese cookbook refers to it as Tori no Usugiriyaki.

Ah well, wherever it comes from, it's de-lish!

Yeah, well, they aren't used to tequilla. They can drink about 40 beers and not blink an eye though!

You MUST go to Polvo's. You'll thank me later. And I think you're right, I think El Mercado is down the street. Is it near Jovita's?

Deep Fried Bacon! all right! I thought that was only on the Simpsons... "Butter up that bacon, boy!"
Did I mention sausage? I have a serious thing for it. In fact, I just had an extreme sausage sandwich (no egg, substitute sourdough bread) from Jack in the Box. I try to keep sausage consumption at a minimum, since no one should really eat sausage or bacon, but sometimes I just break down. Oh, and I don't like bacon. That fatty strip part really grosses me out. I have to remove that part.

Talking Oooh, food, yum.

I love chips (Cheetos, Doritos, Ruffles, Fritos mostly), chocolate (Cracker Barrel sells a giant Hersheys bar for 99 cents and I always grab one when we eat there. No, I don't eat the entire thing in one sitting. LOL), Heath ice cream bars (not the ones on a stick, but the square ones), Gatorade (lemon-lime only!) over crushed ice....is my main vice these days. I know it's bad for my teeth and I'm iron deficient.

McDonald's Filet-o-fish is one of my fave things along with Quarter Pounder with cheese. Those two are the only things I get at Micky D's. Long John Silver's chicken and fish are my fave ever. Chick-fil-a #1 with fries and a coke....yum. I love me some chicken. LOL

My #1 weakness....french fries.

My addictions-

Mexican food- I try not to have it too much, since it's fattening, but I LOVE it. And it must be spicy.
Fruity candies- Starburst, Skittles, Sour Punch, Gummie Bears, etc....
Slurpees
Lemon Lime Gatorade
Chips & Salsa

I don't eat any of those as much as I would like though.

I've had a recent addiction to cookie dough - and then the dough that actually makes it to cookie form... I like the break and bake Nestle cookies....I have tried time and time again to make CC cookies from scratch - I just can't do it - they always come out weird

I get a kick out of the Iron Chefs show. Its on the cooking channel here. They take a Challenger chef and one of their famous "Iron chefs" and the have one hour to cook 5 dishes. The hook is.....they have to use a certain ingrediant...which they don't know until the show starts. They made the ingrediant Yogurt one day and the "Iron chef" gave a look like..."what the "F"?" The dishes are judged by famous Japanese types.
