Just saw the one with Julie Andrews a few months back on PBS and thought it was superb, too. I hope it gets released on DVD.

I don't think I've seen either of those. Thanks for mentioning them, I may have to check those out.

If I can get the television away from my daughter for awhile.

My daughter is four too, and GAWD I know what you mean! Thank God there are things that I like too, except it's really funny when I end up arguing with her because she wants to watch the insipid Care Bear movie for the millionth time and I'm saying, "C'mon, mommy would rather watch Finding Nemo!"

ANYWAY...

Labrynth...TOTALLY...Bowie makes the movie!
The Iron Giant...not sure if it's really a kid movie, but my daughter likes it too. The animation is killer!
Willy Wonka
Charlottes Web
Most of the Disney flicks, except Aladdin. The Genie's just too out there for my tastes

I also have the entire Muppet Show series AND (for those of you old enough to remember it) Riki Tiki Tavi! You know the mongoose and the cobra! LOVE THIS, cheesy 1970's soudtrack and all!

I also enjoy quite a bit of what's on Cartoon Network these days. Give me Edd, Ed, and Eddie, the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (who knew the Grim Reaper was Jamacian?), Courage the Cowardly Dog, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Static Shock, The Batman, Teen Titans, and The Justice League over 90 percent of the prime time programming anyday!

Willie Wonka
Goonies
Bad News Bears
The Dark Crystal
The Karate Kid (like Amber, mentioning movies I loves as a kid, though not sure it's a "kid's movie")

I loathe all of the Care Bears movies, and, of course, she had to have every single one of them. If I have to be in the room when she wants to watch any of those, I always suggest something else.

The absolute worst is the one with Whitney Houston as the fairy godmother. Puhleeze.

Never seen it, and never want to, but I've heard it's pretty cringeworthy.

The Julie Andrews one is out on DVD...I saw an ad for it in a magazine...Entertainment I think.....It caught my eye because I was SO bummed out about missing it on our PBS station.....so I was like, "yea! I can buy the DVD..."

I like a lot of the recent ones (and own many of them):

Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
Monsters Inc.
both Shrek movies
Brother Bear
Lilo and Stitch
Robots
Chicken Run
Sinbad (Put a shirt on, will ya? You're going to poke somebody's eye out!)

But also many of the classics

Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
The Sandlot
E.T.
The Goonies
The Secret of NIMH
Charlotte's Web (Templeton's the greatest!)

"The fair is a veritable smorgisboard orgisboard orgisboard
After the crowds have ceased
Each night when the lights go down it can be found on the ground all around
That's where a rat can glut, glut, glut glut!"

E.T....I remember I went to see that in the theatre with my parents. I was 6 at the time and I cried at the end. I didn't want ET to go home.

Oh yeah! I loved those too.
And might I add the Herbie movies as well!

Not looking forward to the new one with Lindsay Lohan, though. Having her in a Herbie movie is just sacrilege I tell you!
