Live, AIC, Hole, Smashing Pumpkins, Alanis, Mother Love Bone, Soundgarden, NIN....wow ~ so many memories. I dressed the part too with baby doll dresses and combat boots with flannel and I chopped my big 80's hair off and had much attitude. Remember when the Chronic by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog's albums came out. I loved that ****. Now music is so boring and predictable.

I loved Hole. I saw them at Lollapalooza and when Courtney would change she just went "behind" a speaker which was in front of 1/8th of the audience. So I saw her in her bra, no biggie for her I guess!

They were awesome.

Silver Springs came on magic 106 and made me think of you guys and this thread, that was such an awesome time for Stevie.

Brian, I didn't even think of that when I posted! Usually I'm pretty gutter bound, hehe. must.wrench.mind.out.of... aw forget it, it's more interesting where it is!

Lux, this song has been looping in my head all day since you posted, 1979 that is. I gotta put it on to get it out! Oh yeah, and random silly parody title on that release, Mellon Balling and the Intimate Gladness

I do love the Smashing Pumpkins, but there are so many other songs that I love from the 90's. Here's my top ten: (number one presumably being my vote for THE song of the 90's)

1. Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley
2. This Woman's Work by Kate Bush
3. Black Ballon by Goo Goo Dolls
4. The Freshmen by the Verve
5. Closing Time by the Semisonics
6. 32 Flavors by Ani Difranco
7. Mother by Tori Amos
8. Good Enough by Sarah McLachlan
9. I Shall Believe by Sheryl Crow
10. Light up My Room by Barenaked Ladies

That is my all-time favorite BNL song!

(And there's some tough competition for that, too!) I feel wonderful whenever that song is playing.

Mac related - I would have to say the re-released of Silver Springs from the Dance, if that counts.

I totally agree. THAT is the song of the 90's. To me, that totally speaks for my generation and for my decade.
