Anyone with a brain knows that NAFTA is **** and anyone with a brain knows that his unwarranted bombings were ruses. All of it has to do with him leaning towards the right and the middle once he got in.

I love Ford because he didn't lie, he had no agenda, and he truly wanted to make this country a better place for all. However misguided he may ahve been at certain points (pardoning Nixon), his heart was in the right place and he never wanted to be filthy like most Republicans. And he didn't crave power. Same with Carter. I love both of them.

to see how great NAFTA was is go to the OKC area (Hell anywhere in Oklahoma for that matter) and ask those who watched their companies head to Mexico once NAFTA was approved.

As for Clinton, I never voted for him either time, And I have no regrets whatsoever about it

He had to pardon Nixon - the world cannot handle a U.S. Pres. in jail, though I certainly could

Plus, I have always thought that was part of the deal Nixon struck when he agreed to step down.

I do, too.

Still would have liked him to fry, as would many others. But, I like and respect Ford a great deal. One of only two Republicans that I can say that about, Olympia Snowe being the other.

The more I think of George Bush and the slump we're in right now....The more I miss President Clinton. So what if he lied... big deal. He lied about his personal life that we shouldn't have been poking away at in the first place. Looking back at it...why did we even care? Would you rather have a president lie about having sex with a woman or lie about a country being a threat to us, telling us that a country had WMD, brought us into a war, ends up killing thousands of people?

Yeah...that's what I thought.

After around '94, Clinton's policies sucked, there's no way around it. The problem became worse when he was re-elected and proceeded to become one of the most conservative Democratic presidents in modern history. It has nothing to with him lying, it's about him doing a ****ty job as far as social policy went (and economic when it came to NAFTA and a few other things). He sold out the people who elected him. I liked Clinton a lot in the beginning, but in term two, I had no use for him. Would I prefer him over Bush? In a heartbeat. I'd take Chelsea over Bush. But I wouldn't hold him up as the God of Liberalism because he's hardly a liberal these days.

had nothing to do with his lack of chosing beautiful women to have affairs with (Excluding Jennifer Flowers, The rest were in need of sacks to wear over their heads! Trust me, A President Brian j. would be callin' my new friend Hugh Hefner to send over the Playmates!) but how, when he was still Governor of Ark-i-saw and how he royally pissed on the members of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma (Based in Tahlequah, OK) and said it was raining with his promise to not fight for his state's right to dump raw sewage into the Illinois River's tributary, Which flowed straight back into the Illinois River and annihilated the tourism of the area, Which hurt Tahlequah (Thus the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma) in a major financial way (I remember receiving my usual monthly flyer from the Cherokee Nation as a member stating to not support Clinton after he backed off his promise.)

As for Bush, Only positive I can think of is he is so damn easy to rip on...Being from Texas is #1 on my list

I agree his sex life was no one's business; that he did it in the oval office with an employee, however, probably makes it the govt.'s business, esp. when that employee's silence was bought with a job obtained by the Pres. lawyer prior to the infamous Tripp phone calls. Also, does anyone really think he did not use women for sex while in power

But and in any event, Clinton heightened all of that by sending out his cabinet to perpetutate the lie - Clinton certainly knew what had happened That was obstruction of justice pure and simple. I think people should care when people of power use that power to perpetuate a fraud. I mean it was our tax dollars at work there. Think of the good that money could have done. So, he is a cad and a srook for that - there really is no way around that - though many try

I get that the current administration is horrdendous, but that does not negate Clinton's willfull deception at the cost of the taxpayers - that is a crime. They should be judged on their own merits

Lyndon B. Johnson without a doubt. He was the perfect President in my opinion. A fellow Texan, a fellow Democrat, and someone who declined to run for reelection because the country was divided...now there's a American patriot. The Great Society programs and the War On Poverty are just a few highlights of his Administration. I cannot think of anyone more deserving of the title of best president.

He didn't run because the Democratic party said they wouldn't support him!

I'm almost certain he delclined nomination before the party officially said that they would not support him.
