I'm reading Never Break The Chain: Fleetwood Mac And The Making Of Rumours (The Vinyl Frontier Series) by Cath Carroll.

Amber: Why am I not surprised that you are curious!

It's a Thriller/Mystery like the Da Vinnci Code, but it's by Steve Berry. Should be in a paperback at any major book store...The title refers to a room in Russia that was supposedly made entirly of the gem Amber, and then after WWII it was hidden, hence the search to find it...

I'm reading Opening the Hand of Thought by Kosho Uchiyama Roshi. Sort of an intro book to the practice of Soto Zen Buddhism.

I love that book.

But my all-time favorite Anne Rice book is "Witching Hour" -- I usually read it once every year or so.

I'm not a big reader, but I did recently read and liked suprisingly The Killing Season. The only book I've ever truly enjoyed was And Then There Were None, the best book ever.

Just finished Stephen Fry's The Hippotamus (sp?? obviously, I read the dutch translation). Very funny

Now reading The Black Album by Hanif Kureishi. About a pakistani student in the UK who comes into contact with muslim fundamentalism. So far, quite good.

I just finished 'Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West' by Gregory Maguire for the 6th (Yes, 6th) time. It's my favorite book. This is the first time I have reread it since the musical debut last year.
Now I am reading 'Sweet Potato Queen's Field Guide to Men' as I met the author last Friday.
HPIV is also floating around on my nightstand for the 3rd time...

I just got finished with All Quiet on the Western Front, and I'm starting I Had Seen Castles. I've read that one before (years ago), and I remember being more devastated than I was after finishing AQOTWF, so I'm re-reading it so I can compare the two.

I've only yet heard Defying Gravity but I want to see this musical soon. A friend of mine said it was awesome.

The entire Cast Recording is incredible, as is the show. I have a boot dvd of one of the preview shows, and I have just about worn it out. Can't wait for the national tour in 2005.
(BTW, Kristin Chenoweth, who played G(a)linda, is now a supporting character on The West Wing, my fav. show. It looks like Rhiannon is watching over me.

Ooh that book is so good. I don't have my copy anymore but I should get one. I loved that one. It sort of falls apart at the end but the whole book is riveting.
