I've never met Nils, but I've had a huge crush on him for a looong time. Love his albums. Nice to hear he's so great.
Yet another Nils fan on The Ledge! I am such a huge fan (and yes, he's the hottest tiny man to ever walk the planet!). If you ever get the chance to see him in concert, do it! He almost always comes back out after the show to chat with fans (inside the venue). I haven't seen him in 8 years because he rarely comes out this way, but you east coasters are lucky dogs...he plays there constantly, especially in Jersey and Maryland.

It was a little awkward with Chris C. for me too, because of his quietness, but it was so great because there was no one else around. Soundgarden was rehearsing for a tour at The Moore Theater here (I was tipped off by my friend's brother who was a bouncer at the time, and was providing security for some of the rehearsals...he got me a cool Chris autograph and a used Matt drumstick), so I sat outside all day in the stinky alley listening. I got Matt and Kim's autographs as they left (both nice also, especially Matt) and Chris stayed to work on vocals. Someone eventually told him that I had been outside all day, so he came out especially to say "Hi" to me. He only said a few words, but was so sweet and funny. And, yes, we can't go without honoring the fact that he is one-hot-motherf*cker (and one of the greatest vocalists ever)!

That's so cool that you met them!!!
The Buick! I had no idea! I guess you can't take the "punk" out of that girl no matter how famous she gets! I'm actually surprised she owns a car at all. I've mentioned it before, but my friend lives right by Debbie in NY and says she often says "Hi" to my friend's dog. To anyone who loves dogs, that's the sign of a nice person.

Firstly, RICK VITO!!!

Then, Christine McVie

And, Dave Davies (of the Kinks)...may he fully recover from the stroke he suffered this past June.

There's an interview in the Blondie book "From Punk To Present" where the interviewer writes about being shocked at her choice of vehicle. Something along the lines of, Here's rich woman who lives in a penthouse, yet she still drives around in a beat up old wreck to visit her parents in Jersey.

She does seem like a genuinely nice person.

First and foremost for me would be Reba McEntire. I've met her like 4 times, and she's always really sweet and nice. You can tell she truly appreciates her fans, because all 4 times she actually stopped and chatted with me for like 10 minutes or so. Great one, this lady!

Second... Demi Moore. I met her one day when I (more or less) accidentally bumped into her, and we laughed about it for a couple minutes, then I got her autograph and she was on her way. She was really down-to-earth about it, and was even the one who apologized first!

Debbie Harry and Chris Cornell are nice but very quiet. If you encounter either of them, don't expect a long-winded conversation! (Chris Stein is chatty, though, and told us we had to "shove stuff in Debbie's face if we want her to sign it" .)

Christ. I think I would be so tongue-tied in the throes of Chris Cornell's beauty that I would render myself unintelligible! No surprise that he's quiet, though. I've heard he's extremely shy. Didn't know Debbie Harry was so reserved, but I just adore Chris Stein. Those two are definitely opposites.... probably why they attracted for so long.

It was difficult to not instantaneously puke at the sight of him (South Park).

Chris is generally such an interesting dichotomy (sp? ) of quiet & reserved and blow your socks off, classic rock star. LOVE 'IM!!!

(Going to shows that involve him here in Seattle can be near-lethal! I'm surprised I lived to tell about the Audioslave show here last year...my god! He's a bit of a popular guy around here.)

I met Reba at a party a year or so ago and had completely forgotten about it. You're right, she is nice !

Speaking of Debbie Harry.....

I contemplated whether or not I should post this, but I figured "what the heck, it's already on the internet anyway". If you're curious to see nude photos of Debbie, go here. (He has lots of great clothed photos as well!) The ones where she has dark hair I'm guessing are from her Playboy days? They're very tasteful, plus there's a later one where she's just flashing her boob that cracks me up. Unfortunately the quality isn't great, but I'm sure you'll get the idea .

Enjoy.

That one photo where she flashes someone is hysterical, it's definitely from the Blondie days!
