I really do BELIEVE (i know many ppl say that) but I do believe John Kerry has a great vision for the future...sure you can knit pick anyones voting record, but for me the real clear choice is Kerry....I think he plans to do A LOT of great things for college students, and Bush plans to cut college programs to pay for his war...so thats one of the biggest things to me as well

Bush is going to get up there at his convention and blow all kinds of sunshine. If he is reelected, he will continue power unchecked, furthering the military industrial complex plan thought up by his father and his cronies. As for paying for the war, they've already looted the treasury. George's main job is to line the pockets of his elitist/fundamentally religious base that got him elected. His is a puppet of the oil companies using the Book Of Revelations as his guideline.

There was idle chatter about him possibly saying that he won't accept a salary if he's elected. But that's all it was, chatter. I think if he had said that, he'd have the election in the bag (not that he doesn't now ).

Isn't that why we have a Congress? Oh, right, they just bent over when Bush wanted to go to war, Kerry and Edwards included.

He should do it! He might be saving that one for his own "October surprise."

Maybe he could donate it to those poor guys he helped send to Iraq who had to buy their own body armor.

This is Bush's "stance" on the Environment. This alone (on top of a MILLION other things) cost him my vote:
That's just the tip o' the iceberg, too, dude

Kucinich 88%
Kerry 85%
Bush 5%

I realize that his vote for the War In Iraq is (at least seemingly) your biggest hang-up in regards to John Kerry, and that's fine... it's your opinion and it's understandable.

But this much can be said about John Kerry... he's a Vietnam vet, who served his country ably and proudly. He "fought in the trenches," as they say.
And maybe it's just me, but if anyone is going to send our troops off to war... even if it's a war I disagree with... I'd MUCH rather it be a man who's actually legitimately served in the military himself, and not someone with a dubious and spotty stint in the National Guard.

I don't have to agree with every decision he's made and every vote he's cast, to know that he's the one most deserving of my vote in November.

You get no argument from me on that point. And I would add to that: I'd much rather see a man who put his reputation and career on the line to protest an unjust war have enough sense to vote against another unjust war when he had the chance.

I completely agree, Johnny. I know this- Kerry's a good man, I trust him. I do not trust the alternative.

I guess my feeling on Kerry going to war is this- we were ALL misled regarding the reasons for going to war, we were ALL misled about the validity of the CIA's intel. And if I were a senator, being presented with that information at that time, I'm not sure what my decision would've been.

1 Kucinich Score: 89%

2 Kerry Score: 82%

3 Bush Score: 4%

Kerry's speech was absolutely brilliant! I was very inspired by it- I can't wait until Dubya is gone, gone, gone!!!

Kerry's speech was good, though most of the acceptance speeches are usually decent. However, I do not believe that reversing the tax cuts on the top 2% earners will pay for all he is proposing.

Kudos for the Dems for a solid convention.

Here's my breakdown:

Kerry 64%
Kucinich 47%
Bush 47%

Corporations that are shipping jobs overseas can kiss their tax cuts goodbye.
