I think the thing that put me over the top was when they showed a clip of the moms going "Yeah!" and pumping their fists in the air right after it showed Jim and Marsha at the bank saying they've been screwed. Yeah, it was shrewd editing, but it was effective.

In any case, Charla and Mirna are my favorites. They slay me every time they're onscreen. "Airport-o...whoosh!"

They just remind me of every soccer mom that's ever cut me off in a mini-van. Definately effective. I don't want them to win.

Nothing is more funny than a little person carrying a huge hunk of meat They're just hysterical in every way

A huge hunk that weighed fifty pounds, no less. Her cousin who's normal sized couldn't even carry it, but she did it on her freakin' back. Nothing beats that.

You know, i'm guessing that meat was meant to be sold and here the two of them are, throwing it on the ground

I also loved when they were paragliding. They showed her sitting on top of the backpack

Dirt must make a great dry rub.

What about when she was eating the chocolate and saying "The most disgusting thing in my life!" Or when they went to the foam club and she practically got lost in the foam?

My mom was like, "foam? club? what?" Mom. We have those too. "Oooh. They're going to trample over her. Isn't that foam a little dangerous?" It is if you're 3 feet tall.

It can't be any worse than being electrocuted.

Charla and Mirna blocking shots...when she came out with all of the pads on I nearly fell over laughing....priceless...

I'm dissapointed that tonight Bob and Joyce were eliminated...they were one of my favorite teams

Best lines from last nite's show:

Mirna doing her best Teresa Heinz Kerry impression, telling Charla to "shove it" during the caviar eating challenge....

Mirna calling Colin a "convict."

Charla saying, "We have to go to 'Roo-see-ah!"

Brandon telling Nicole, "YOU are Miss Texas!"

Kudos to Chip for scarfing down that caviar. Having to eat 2 pounds of anything is a lot...

I nearly cried when Bob and Joyce got Philiminated...I love Bob...he's a sweetheart.

Don't forget when Nicole started eating and stopped momentarily to say, "it's like swallowing a huge loogie!" as whats-her-name who had been struggling to get it down, begins to cry

Default Amazing Race

Can you believe Charla ate all that caviar?? Holy cow. She is so funny. It cracks me up that everytime she and Mirna get close to the Pit Stop, Mirna is checking herself in the mirror and preparing to hug Phil!! They are my favorite team. Brandon and Nicole remind me so much of Flo and Zack..even though Flo whined much more than Nicole has so far. I rooting for Brandon and Nicole and Charla and Mirna! Lance and Marshall have got to go ASAP. Those two are the most annoying men!

I was SO bummed that Bob & Joyce were eliminated. Arrgh!

There are four teams now that I'd like to see get eliminated, but my favorite teams keep going by the wayside. D'Oh.

Oh, and Marshall & Lance (or, as I call them, Humpty & Dumpty) need to go, ASAP.

FansOfRealityTV.com almost always has an interview each week with the eliminated team, and I noticed this in their interview with Jim & Marsha, so I thought I'd post it....

Quote:
FORT: Did the bowling Moms tell just you about exchanging the money, or was it a group discussion, and how much time did exchanging your US money set you back?

Marsha: Actually, I overheard them talking to a local, saying "oh, we have to exchange money? The cabs won't take US currency?" and so on. Since I'd overheard it, I considered it good information. The line was out the door at the exchange, but we talked a guy into letting us cut in line almost to the front, so we really didn't lose much time at all. As for whether the moms were deliberately deceiving us, we still don't know, but we assume they weren't being malicious about it.
So it may have been a case of CBS editing the events in a certain way, to create additional drama.

Marsha also had an interesting anecdote about Brandon and Nicole....

Quote:
What is the most interesting thing that happened on the race that we didn't get to see?

Marsha: I've got one. When we were all waiting for taxis after the meat-carrying task, they had to call a bunch of them, but they were coming one at a time. So we all decided that we would take the taxis in the order we'd arrived. We were second. But when our taxi arrived, Brandon and Nicole jumped in and took off. As they were driving away, Nicole yelled "Bitch!" out the window at me. Not exactly model behavior for people who are as God-fearing as they claim to be. I wish CBS had shown that.
