I would also add to the "The Lindsey crowd is smaller (and hardly a crowd, more like a team), but way more refined and sophisticated. You also forgot the I loved LB int he 70's and 80's but his 90's stuff stinks

I don't give a crap if Stevie's front and center on that cover. What I do care about, however, is that that cover is REALLY freaking ugly.

Talking Lindsey and Stevie

Hmm...well I'd be one of those that favor BOTH Stevie and Lindsey equally. Althought I'd tend to lean towards Lindsey. I like his eccentricities; plus I play guitar in his vein, so I relate with him. And I do think they're two of the most important members to ever join. it doesn't get any better than the classic Rumours lineup.

I like this cover a lot. I think it captures just what it is supposed to... FM live in concert!

You have forgotten to mention there ARE people who do mean it when they say they love them both the same, like ME!

I feel I must defend myself, because I have a bad feeling you are implying I am in the second group just because I might occasionally express dislike of Stevie's late 80s and 90s music, and have actually said Lindsey keeps getting better. HOWEVER, I do indeed love Stevie just as much as Lindsey.

I mean it when I defend her SUBSTANTIAL contributions to Fleetwood Mac (of course I exclude TITN, but that is only because I am exercising logic, not subconcious favoritism). As for solo, her material on TISL and SYW redeems any earlier flaws (with the exception of TMMS, Silver Girl, and Illume. Every Day wasn't her fault because she didn't write it). Obviously, she also is improving over time. The reason I rarely post in her forum is because she is so popular I simply don't have time to read all those posts, lol.

Stevie is magnificent - I can connect to her on so many levels. She has written so many songs that touch me on a personal level. I adore her. And, finally, my site provides undeniable proof that I don't play favorites.

I have said it before and I'll say it again. I love them both the same in different ways. I expressed it this way to a Lindsey-loving friend once who accused me of the same thing: Lindsey's amazing talent awes me, but I can relate more to Stevie (although certainly the two are not mutually exclusive. Lindsey can move me and Stevie has amazing talent, too, so this is a false dichotomy in that sense, but I'm doing the best that I can to express a very difficult concept. I just feel that on the whole, this expresses my general sentiments best).

Sorry for the diatrible, but I take exception to being accused of lying when I express my love and admiration of Stevie. I am willing to admit she is not perfect, but then again neither is Lindsey, even now. I simply don't feel the need to bash Lindsey every time I praise Stevie. But perhaps this blows your mind, and you truly cannot imagine such a mentality. That does not mean it doesn't exist, as my evidence CLEARLY shows. Somehow I have a feeling that some people will disregard all this evidence in order to better enjoy an elitist persecution complex, which enables them to feel more special. But regarding those of you with open minds, I believe I have made my point.
