Best Stevie "Snippets?"

[EveryHour]

It is IMPOSSIBLE to pick favorites for me, because almost all of Stevie's songs have these "snippets"! They are one of the many, many things that make her songs so unique, passionate and spontaneous! The first one to enter my mind, though, is "that is how songs are written, stories are told, rumours are started....." Wow.

What a creative thread! One of my favorite snippets is during "Sometimes It's a Bitch." It's at the verse right before the final chorus. It's almost a cappella(sp?). Anyway, she's singing lead as well as backing vocals and during the line "and I've cried a river of tears from the pain..." I don't know about you guys but the sound of she harmonizing with herself on the word "pain" in that line is soooo beautiful to me. I could listen to it over and over again. I know it's like very specific but I happened to notice it one day and now every time I listen to this song I can't wait until that part

It's cool that it's tiny! One of my very favorites is the smallest little detail...

the doo..doo da doo.. doo.. in gypsy. she says it kinda for no reason, but its so cute there, and i always have to sing it too.

This IS a creative thread!

Even though it's so hard for me to choose, I thought I'd also throw in some of my faves from the new album...

"I wouldn't trade you for jade or for diamonds
Not for one minute, not for anything"
(Her voice is SO powerful there and her phrasing is~as usual~exquisite)

In RTTG, any time she says "turn around" and also the fact that she sings the same note for every word in the line "like I am in prison". That is SO Stevie (to not change the note). Hell, the whole rest of the song as well!

Another one......

The way she sings the word "stay" in "Would you stay if she promised you heaven?" in the White Album/single version of Rhiannon.
