Though wasn't there a post recently about them sitting next to each other at another woman's concert? (Forget who.)

Linda quit using coke years before Stevie, she knew when to stop and not harm her voice.

Did she give up the bottle sooner too?

Remember Julia Louis Dreyfus as Linda singing "What's New" on SNL? (Probably before your time.) It was a great impersonation, with Julia lying on the bed singing moronic lyrics at a slow pace as she gazed at the camera. "What's neeeeew....in four years I'll be...forty-two..."

I saw that when they ran SNL on Comedy Central after The Tracey Ullman Show.

Greenpeace. They have played fundraisers for Senator Birch Bayh. Stevie has performed at the Artists Rights Concert. Beautiful Child was written for UNICEF. Lindsey has performed for the ACLU and GLAAD.

Hmmmm....at the same time? I forgot that they were basically concurrent hottie babes. How weird. I wonder what it was like at the time? I was like, two, so i didn't really get into the publicity, or really anything at all.
They were probably at the same coked out parties and stuff, awards shows, etc.

So they shared "D" (Henley), not tea.

Yes, it was mentioned in the Q&A here on The Penguin (Waddy Wachtel). Waddy said he'd like to get Stevie and Linda to perform together. I think it would be a great mix, and maybe get Linda to pull out and dust off some of her old cast off rock and roll songs. While a great mix, I guess the tour would be high on estrogen though! I'd go to it though!

I believe both Linda and Stevie also dated J.D. Souther too, who's sometimes referred to as another Eagle.

I'd go see it too, though I'm not a huge LR fan.

Ha! I think I would have booed her too in a half- hearted kind of way. I just don't dig performers making political speeches when I'm there to hear them sing. Put it in a song and sing it to me, don't preach it to me. I wouldn't have walked out, because I'm getting my money's worth for the ticket I bought. Honestly, I think I would have just had another drink and had a good time, and I definitley wouldn't have wasted an expensive "cocktail" on one of "Lovely Linda's" posters. However, I think she went a little too far when she made the comment about Republicans not making her feel "warm" knowing they were there. I'm collecting all my Ronstadt records and preparing them for the sacrificial pyre.

She can sing like nobody's business, although last time I saw her, she was using a wheelchair for back problems. She was sitting throughout the show. I don't know if this is still the case.

But, alas, no one seems to be looking for Osama."

I guess Johnny Mac liked Linda for something other than her politics
