I am highly motivated because I'm tired of being fat. I want to be thin again and will not stop until I achieve that goal. Then I will simply maintain a certain weight.

In an earlier post I said I walk 5 miles a day, everyday. I should have written, 5 days a week. I was walking everyday for the first few months but decided it was a good idea not to over exercise.

Have you only just come out of the New Years Eve alcohol coma? Surely that's a record?

But I digress. Happy New Year

I haven't been here in a while. I miss you guys.

But the reason I haven't been here in a while is because yay, I got a new contract. It doesn't pay a boatload (or even half a boatload), but every little bit counts - and I'm actually having fun with work for the first time in a VERY long time. Because I get to blog about video games every day! YAY!

Anyway, I made a post today that I thought y'all might smile at, even if you're not a gamer, 'cos I managed to sneak Stevie into it. I'm crafty like that. Scroll all the way down on this post to see what I mean.

And if any of you ARE gamers (or are just interested in my writing?), maybe you can poke around the site more and tell me what you think? I've spent such a long time writing things for other people, using their voice, that it's difficult getting back in the swing of writing in my own style. I've only been writing for this guy for about a month now, and it was sitting dormant for a while before I picked up where they left off, so it's not super busy there yet or anything, but still. I'm pleased.

It's great to hear about your new job! Lucky you getting to write about video games!! I liked what you had to say! I like that you included Leon from Resident Evil 4. He's one of my faves! There should be a Mortal Kombat where Stevie fights Ashley (the president's daughter) from RE4. All those times of hearing Ashley say 'Help Me, Leon!' have gotten to me!

Great to hear about the new job, Annie! I love your style -- very dry but never letting your humour obscure teh point you're actually making

What the eff is up with that? She's had over five years to record a new album... and she couldn't even scrape together a full set of songs during that time? Back in 2005 she had an excuse- the baby. Well, the kid is now well into grade school, so she has much of the day to spend on other pursuits. A greatest hits album would make sense... if she actually had any hits since her last greatest hits collection 25 years ago. And in that whole time she's only released three studio albums. That's really messed up.

Eh, but I'm still happy that something new is on the way. Let's just hope it's not like the theme song from "The Golden Compass;" that was terrible.
