As much as I love this thread we need a new one! Just can't think of anything creative right now. Very tired.

Thank you for the update. This doc looks like it is really happening! I think all of us really are in for a crazy ride like Dave Stewart said. OMG, I just thought of something... what if Dave uploads videos of the behind the scenes stuff to the professional side of youtube?
(VEVO). Just dreaming here, but if Dave is on the cutting edge of technology and music video, this would blow everyone away.

I see a high possibility the documentary will get shelved, for sure. And we're certainly in for some hefty delays in the release of this project since Dave has exited the picture, and he was the driving force of urgency for this project. It seems like we've passed the point of no return for Stevie to release new material sometime in the next few years, though. In typical Stevie fashion, there's a high likelihood this project will morph, get pushed back, etc... but I still think something will come of it.

I don't know... Dave just tweeted he is back in the studio on Monday with Stevie and I think he is working still on the documentary. I think with Dave behind this project, sending out tweets and pics, it would be stupid for it to get shelved. We all need to have some faith this will happen. After all, we all thought Stevie would never be in the studio again making new music and now she is. I agree, sometimes delays are out of Stevie's control, but I am remaining optimistic about this.

Ahh, if Dave's back full time with Stevie, I have faith it will happen. He seems like a 'get stuff done' kind of guy. I'm still frankly quite surprised at the whole documentary thing, though. Stevie knows how limited of an audience she has for that this day and age. I guess she truly has had a huge shift in her views in the past year or two, when she was saying she'd never record again because it wouldn't sell. Go Stevie!

I was surprised by the documentary because it didn't seem like Stevie liked Destiny Rules that much. But that merely aspired to play up the band's drama. She obviously envisions something different for herself. She and Dave were probably spurred to want to do it all the more by Running Down a Dream.

Ha! Well, of course. She wants to get a bunch of friends on there to talk about how great she is. Stevie's not going to be a proponent of anything that smacks of reality for sure.
