I really hoping that the dumb**** American electorate wakes up- but I've been hoping for that for years and years with little change.

Alls I can say is:

"Please, please, PLEASE stay healthy John Paul Stevens, Ruth Bader Ginsberg (I love her!), Stephen Breyer, David Souter and Anthony Kennedy!!!!!! We need you!"

We need O'Conner just as badly as she has single handedly saved more than one decision with her swinging ways, which I highly doubt any replacement would have.

Well, Frist sold that issue to get the three lower courts nominees to a vote. I guess he could break that deal, but I do not see him doing that AND when he made that deal, he all but ruined any chance he may have had to be Pres. because the anti-choice people will NEVER forgive him. So, we shall see.

And I was going to wish for the good health of the four liberal justices and the one swing voter.

Hillary's running. No doubt.
Now what am I missing about Hillary and the USSC? Why can't she serve?

Yes, please run! The Ledgie Party needs to get into power so we can FORCE - Stevie to tell us whether she said "TARA" or not in that song!

Fat chance. They could be firing up the ovens and most people wouldn't say a thing. Anyone who disagrees with the Republican Taliban basically gets muzzled and shut down. I don't know what it's gonna take, but it is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

I took it to mean she would not be confirmed. BTW - I think she still has her law license so that is not an issue.
