'Elephant' by the White Stripes rocks. While you are waiting for the new Mac record, why not listen to the other duo.. really a great record!

I left work early today, stopped by the record store and picked it up. I'm on the third listen.. and third beer.. "Elephant" should tied me over until 'Say You Will.' I can't get "Ball and Biscuit" out of my head. So far, my favorite album of the year...

This album is dedicate to, and is for, and about the death of the sweetheart. In a social plane, impossible to exist, and in memories, past defining present. We mourn the sweetheart's loss in a disgusting world of opportunistic, lottery ticket holders caring about nothing that is long term, only the cheap thrill, the kick, the for the moment pleasure, the easy way out, the bragging rights and the trophy holding. The thirteen year old tattoo, the hard attitude, devil may care, don't call your parents, drink, insult, thank only yourself, and blame the rest if you don't get yours. Gone to the ether, gone to your mother's hope chest, buried in the boot of the rocker, the trunk of the car, and they get laughs, they get home late, they missed the rent, they forgot your money, they've got a new friend, they won't be told they are wrong.

Hey Keith... I've got "Elephant" on my list to pick up, along with Lucinda's new and the Robbie Williams that both come out on Tuesday.

Hey, did you decide whether or not you were going to Columbus? If you see this, PM/e-mail me- if you're going to come, I have some Bruce/Vivian Green/ other kinds of stuff you might like from work.

Anyhow-

NP: "Save it for a Rainy Day" by the Jayhawks. Can't take it off repeat.

On the long ride to work, I listened to my cd I burned which has Santana and Michelle Branch -The Game of Love, Foreigner's I Can't Live Without You, two Genesis songs-Follow You, Follow Me, That's All, two America songs-Today's the day and Ventura Highway, John Mayer's Your Body Is A Wonderland, Julio Iglesias' Moonlight Lady, the New Radicals' You Only Get What You Give, and the rest of the songs are FM: 3 versions of Thrown Down and Peacekeeper...

Speaking of Foreigner I left them and the Alan Parsons Project off my list of favorite bands on that other thread...=:-( I just love Vulture Culture-the whole album..
