Looks to me like it's still his skin on the album, maybe heavy makeup to cover up stuff and good lighting but still pretty much him at his age.

I liked the cover to "Secret Love" but I LOVE this!!! Wonderful album cover! My only thought would be that her name and the album title could have been at the top.

Default trial balloon?

wondering if this might be a test to gauge fan feedback? i do like the mystique of it, but i'm not sold on it just yet.

I was wondering the same thing. Perhaps the cover may end up different when it is actually released..

The horse's hind legs seem too close together. The ones I know usually have a wider stance. He must be the modest type.

Anyone remember the cover they had out for a short time for TISL, before the release date? Anyone have a copy of it? I had it saved for a while, but then deleted it, figuring the pic would be all over the place soon enough, because it was the cd cover. Then the pic was changed when TISL came out.

I, for one, have loved Stevie for decades, but find this cover too obvious and "on the nose" for a Stevie album.

It's one thing to play to your strengths and another to stay safely (perhaps even embarrassingly) within a box. Other "haters" don't like the photoshopping (I'm okay with it).

Either way, these are honest critiques of the photo and you aren't really addressing them when you (the general you), generalize.

Why the need for a non-stop positive-spin-fest here? If everyone loved everything, how boring would the thread and the site be?

Great post.

I know you weren't talking about me - I think most (if not all) of those posts were before mine. I'm not trying to single you out, just pointing out to Louie that not everyone is simply stating their opinion about the album cover itself.

Wasn't that like the inside cover. The one where she is sitting dow staring out to space.

Well the album is at #397 in music over at Amazon, so it's helped that they finally put a "face" to the music...even if it's a plumpy one

^^^^I think some may be waiting to pre-order to see which outlet(s) will have the bonus track or tracks. I know I am. Though, I already pre-ordered it through Warners - so I hope they have something special with that order, other than the free download of SL.
Thats probably why the hold-up with the official track-list. Hopefully they will finalize everything soon.

That's me.

I'm hoping iTunes will do a couple bonus tracks, and moreso hoping there might be some kind of promotional giveaway at my local record store (like the litho that was handed out for TISL) for physical CD/vinyl purchases.
