Just cost me £45 to fill up my beetle! Totally ridiculous!

BTW... not looking for a debate on the value of the dollar to the pound or anything. Just commenting

Hey Pip, how much is a gallon now costing in the UK? People in the US should feel fortunate ompared to European prices.

Between $3.14-$3.29 here is Hellhole, Oklahoma

Our gas went up today to $3.59/gallon. Thank God I have 3/4 of a tank. Maybe they'll go down this week. I doubt it with Memorial Day Weekend coming.... le sigh.

yeah, they're not going down. But analysts and such say they won't hit $4 so

I don't know what the latest prices here are - I haven't driven in a few days - I've been biking. BUT I have to pick up a friend in Denver Thursday...and will have to fill up first...boo...not looking forward to that

sucks I have to drive 500+ miles roundtrip...Guess I will come back from the vacation without an arm and leg since that is what gas prices will probably be by then...

So I guess I will leave a trail of blood at the May 30th Stevie/Eye-sack show (in OKC) from my newly severed limbs so other Ledgies in attendance can hunt me down

I'm spending $100 a week on gas, and I just can't afford that. I'm looking for a job closer to where I live so I can ride the bus. I'm getting rid of my car once it's paid off at the end of this year.

A pretty good site for checking prices in cities, states and cities and provinces in Canada is: http://www.gasbuddy.com/

They have historical charts which shows the fluctuations during the different seasons: http://www.gasbuddy.com/gb_retail_pr...t.aspx?time=24

The price where I am is anywhere from 1.19 to 1.23 a litre, which if you convert to a US gallon is: 3.785 Liters = 1 U.S. Gallon or in other words.

1.23 x 3.785 litres = $4.66 a US gallon

Ooh... not sure actually. Ours is priced by the litre... I'm sure someone else will be able to convert if they join the discussion again! I just fill the tank when I have to! All I know is it cost me £45 to fill it completely.

So, I wonder if that puts Indiana as the highest. It's still $3.59 this morning.
